RE: Easement Encroachment at 8102 Fairmont Circle N.E.
Rottlund Company has requested a two foot encroachment into the 36 foot
drainage and utility easement along Ea.st River Road.
I called Virgil Herrick for City procedure on this; Virgil being out of
town I was referred to William Goodrich. Mr. Goodrich stated that the
City must get written consent from each of the utility compani.es-(N.S.P.,
Minnegasco, N.W. Bell, General Television). If these companies are
affirmative then the City Engineering Depari�nent can confirm and also
allow the encroachment. City Council action is not necessary in this
instance since the City has not gotten a recorded deed or easement
other than the a .

electric distribution line at that location.
We authorize Rottlund Company to build upon the easterly two

Brook Addition, providing that no point of that construction
extends more than 18 feet above grade.

BUILDING PERMIT FEE SCIiEDULE
SECTION Z. The Inspector of Buildings shall, before issuing permits for the
exection of any building or structure, or for any addition to any existing
buildi.ng or structure, or for any alteration or repairs to any existing
builcling or structure, upon application therefore, require the payment by the
�pplicant for such per�►it o£ fees to the amount hexein below set forth and in
the ma.nner herein provided to-wit:
UNIFORM BUILDING CODE: Type 1, 2& 4-$2.15 for each one thousand cubic
feet, or �raction thereof, in such cubical.contents. �pe 3& 5-$1.85 for
each one thousand cubic feet.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
For the purpose of computing fees for building permits, the cubical contents
of any building or addition, is determined by mu.ltiplying the ground area
covered from a poin� six (6) i.nches below the floor line of the basement
ox the cellar to the average heights of the upper surface or to the average�
�height of the roof surface of the main gable of a pitched roof.
For repairs or alterations to an existing structure, the �ee shall be at the
rate of $3.00 per each five hundred dollars ($500.00) or fraction thereof in
tlYe cost of all proposed work. .
Tn no case shall the fee charged fox any permit as set forth in Section 2 be
less than S5.00. �
VERIFICATION OF FOUNDATION
NOTE: Permi�s for eonstxuction �i11 be issued a minimum of 24 hours from the
icime of application, to allow for proper review of the proposed structure and
of tlie construction site.
A Carti�i�d Su.-rvey of the lot, showing the location of the foundation, on�e it
has been constructed, will be required before proceeding with tlie framirig. _
CERTIFICAT� OF OCCUPANCY
Apnlication fox a Certificate r�f Occupancy sh�ll be made ten (10) days prior
tc� tlie use or occupancy of any stxuctt�re for w3aich a building permit has been
