Section 2. The Inspector of Buildin�s sha11, before iasuiag aay permit for
the e:ectioa of �,ny building or etructure, or for any addi�ion to aaq exfst-
ing building or atructure, or for any alterations or repairs to any existing
bu3.lding or stcructure, upon applicatioa therefos, require the paymeat by the
applican� for such permit of fees to the amount herein below set forth �.nd
in �he m�.nner herein provided to-tait: �`
2.1. Eor any such germ�tt for the erecCion of any fire-proof building, other
than a garage' warehouae, factory or grein eleva�or, or for the erectioa of
aay fire-proof addition, for similar occupancy, to any exiating building
shall be �t the rate of $�,,40 for each one thousand eubic ieet, or fraction
thereof, in such cubical conteata.
2.2. For aay such permit for the erec�ioa of anq fire-proof gsrage, warehouse,
faetory or grain elevator, or for tl�e erectioa of aay fire-proof addition,
for similar occupancy, to any exiating building sh�ll be at the rate of �1.25
for each one thousand cubic feet, classified as °'fireproof" by Section 502 of
the Minneapolla Building Code.

2.3. For any such permit �or the erection of any noa-fi.reproof building other
then a garage, warehouse, factory or grain elevator, or aaq aoa-fireproof
add3tioa, fo� similar occupancy, to any existing building - permit $1.00 for
each one thous8ad cubic feet.
GARAGES
2.4. For any such permit for the erectioa of any aon-fireproof gar��e,
warehouse, factory or grain elevator, or for the erection of any non-fireproof
addition, for similar occupancy, to any existing buildiag or for each such
` building or addieion - niae�y cents ($0.90) for each oae Chousand cubic feet
or f�act3on thereof, in Che cubical contents thereof.with a min3mum of $4.00.
For the purpose of campueing fees for building permits, the cubical contents
of any building or addition to a unifo�m height throughout by multiplying the
grougd area covered fram a pointc six (6) inchea below the floor line .o£ the
basement or cellar to the average height of the upper surface or to the
average height of the roof surface of �lae maia gable of a pitched xoof.
2.5. For repairs or alterations to an exis�ing stzucture, �he fee ahall be
at �the rate of $3.00 per each Five Hundred Dollara ($500.00) or fraction
thereof fn the cost of all proposed work.
2.6. In no case shall the fee charged for any permit as set forth in
Sectiott 2 be less th�n $4.00.
