A spil uel oil w eported to this.Office on October 6,
1982 at 6:00 p.m. by the Fridley Fire Department. It was re-
ported that you were the responsible party, as you drained
your fuel oil tank into the street using a garden hose. The
oil subsequently drained into a storm sewer and discharged into
Harris Lake causing damage to shoreline and wild ducks. This
discharge is in direct violation of Minnesota State Statute
115.016 Duty To Notify and Avoid Water Pollution.
Because of the above, and because you were not able to be reached
to take responsibility for clean up of this spill, thP Minnesota
Pollution Control Agency used a State contractor for clean up
purposes. As of this date, you are still not available, using
your phone ntur�ber of 571-8193. Therefore, because of the ar:ove,
this Office requests that you notify us as to your intentions
for taking responsibilities in this incident by 10/13/82. If
notification is not received by phone or letter by this date,
this Office will proceed through legal means to recover costs
through you.
