Section 2. The Inspector of Building9 �hall, before iseuing any permit fnr
�he erecC3on of any building or structure, or for any addition to any exiet-
ing building or strucCure, or for any aiteratioas or repairs to any exisring
buildin� or seructure, upon agplicatic9n therefor, require the paymen� by the
applicant for such permit of feee Ca the amount herein below aet forth and
in the manner herein provided to-wit:
2.1. For aay such permit for the erection of any £ire-proof buildiu�, other
than a garages warehouse, factory or �raia elevator. or far Che erection of
any fire-proof addition, for aimilar occupaacy, to any exieting building
shall be at the raCe of $i.40 far eactn one thousaad cubic feet, or fractioa
�hereof, in such cubical contedts.
2.2, For any such permit for the erect3on of any fire-proo# garage, warehouse,
f�ctory or grain elevator, or for the erection of aay fire-proof additioa,
for similar oceupaacy, to aay existing building shal� be at the rate of $1.25
for each one thoueand cubic feet, clasaified as 01fireproof" by Section 502 of
the Minneapolis Buildiag Code. � -

2.3. For any such permit for the erection of aay non-fireproof buiZding other
than a garage, warehouae, factory or grain elevator, or any nori-fireproof
additioa, for similar occupancy, to aay esistiag building - permit $1.00 for
each one thoueand cubic feet.

2.4. For any such permit for the erection of any aon-f3reproaf gara�e,
warehauae, factory or grain elevator, or for the erection o� aay non-fire�roof
�dditiona �or similar accupancy, to any existing building or for each such �
a� lding or addit�ton - ainety cents ($0.90) for each one thouaead cubic feet
or fraction thereof, in Che cubical ce�tente thereof with a minimum of $4.00..
For the purpose of compu�3ag fees £or �uildiag permits, the cubical coatents �
of sny building or addition to a�nifoann height throughout by multiplying the
ground area covered fram a point sig (6) inches below the floor line of tbe
basement or cellar to the average he3gt�t of the upper eurface or to the
average he3.ght of the roof surface of �he mafn gable of a pitched roof.
2.5. For repa3ra or alCeratioas to an exiating structure, the fee ai�all be
at the rate of $3.00 per each Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or frsction
thereof in the coat of all propuaed wogk.
2.6. In ao case ehall the fQa.chargcad for any peraa3� as set forth in
SeCtian 2 be lesa than $4.00.

RE: Monument Sign at East River Road/Pearson Way N.E.
Dear Owner/Occupant:
The monument sign located at the above referenced intersection has
experienced substantial deterioration and is in poor condition.
I have been unable to locate anyone who could be held responsible
for the maintenance of this sign. This monument sign, which is
located within the City right-of-way, has become an eyesore and it
also constitutes a health and safety hazard.
The City is currently considering removing the monument sign from
this location for the reasons cited previously. Please contact me
at 572-3595 on or before November 20, 1990, if you have concerns
regarding this possible action, so that these may be taken into
consideration.

RE: First Notice of Noncompliance at 7833 Firwood Way N.E.
Dear Mr. Jedlenski:
The City of Fridley has established a City Code for the purpose of
promoting a pleasant and attractive suburban environment. A recent
inspection of the property at 7833 Firwood Way N.E. revealed that
not all Code requirements are presently being met. Listed below
is an item which does not comply with the City Code:
1. Fridley City Code requires that all vehicles mt�st be currently
licensed/street ope�able and kept on a hardsurface parking
area if they are stored outside. I observed a vehicle parked
next to the bushes along the east side of your property which
does not appear to fully meet these requirements.
Your prompt attention in correcting this situation would greatly
assist us in helping make Fridley a better place to live. An
inspection will be conducted on or shortly after August 22, 1994
to determine compliance.
