This ordinance regulates types, sizes, and locations of signs. The ordinance also requires a permit for all permanent signs. On April 25, 1991, I observed a sign advertising a notary and fax service. The only types of permanent signs allowed in residential districts are: (1) area identification signs of 14 square feet maximum; and (2) wall signs of 3 square feet maximum (see enclosed ordinance). According to my records, I have no permit for this sign; therefore, this sign is illegal.
