Dear Mr. Fischer:
In September of 1980, the City notified all o�vners of rental residential
housing units of the requirement to provide a hard surface driveway and
parking stalls in accordance �vith Section 205.065, 4, of the Fridley
Zoning Code. This improvement is required to reduce street and storm
sewer maintenance due to sand, rocks, leaf litter ancl miscellaneous
mate,ria'1 washing into them; and for pedestrian and vehicular traffic
safi ety due�to the skidding and sliding on material from unpaved drivevlays.
Since our previous notice, we have not been informed of your plans to
cc�mplete this work. Therefore, this letter is being spnt as a remin�er
of the requirement to provide and maintain a hard surface driveway and a
minimum of tvao off-street parking stalls for each dwelling unit, located at
the above listed address. Since the 1981 construction season is commencing,
it is advantageous and appropriate for you ta no�v schedule the accomplishmeni
of this necessary work.
Your positiv� response to this needed improvement will assist us in
evaluating your application to renew the rental license for the upcoming
y�ar. We request that you provide the City with your plan -io complete the
subject work. Please return your response no later than May 1, 1981; to the
attention ot the Code Enforcement Department.

Dear Resident:
The City of Fridley has a sign ordinance regulating the display of
permanent signs in all zoning districts, including residential
districts. This ordinance regulates types, sizes, and locations
of signs. The ordinance also requires a permit for all permanent
signs.
On April 25, 1991, I observed a sign advertising a notary and fax
service. The only types of permanent signs allowed in residential
districts are: (1) area identification signs of 14 square feet
maximum; and (2) wall signs of 3 square feet maximum (see enclosed
ordinance). According to my records, I have no permit for this
sign; therefore, this sign is illegal.
If you wish to comply with the Sign Ordinance, please submit plans
for a wall sign and fill out the enclosed sign permit application.
