BUILDING PERMIT FEE SCHEDULE
SECTION 2. The Inapector of Buildings shall, before issuing permits for the
erectioa of any building or structure, or for any addition to a,ny existing
buildiag or structure, or for any alteration or repairs to any existing
building or structure, upon application therefore, require the payment by the
applicant for such permit of fees to the amount herein below set forth and in
the manner herein pravided to-wit:
UNIFORM BUILDING CODE: �pe 1, 2� 4-$2.15 for each one thousand cubic
feet, or fraction thereof, in such cubical contents. Type 3& 5-$1.85 for
each one thousaad cubic feet.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
For the purpose of computing fees for building permits, the cubical conteats
of any building or addition, is determined by multiplying the ground area
covered from a point six (6) inches below the floor line of the basement
or the cellar to the average heights of the upper surface or to the average{
height of the roof surface of the ma.in gable of a pitched roof.
For repairs or alterations to an existing structure, the fee shall be at the
rate of $3.00 per each five hundred dollars ($500.00) or fraction thereof in
the cost of all proposed work.
In no case shall the fee charged for any permit as set forth in Section 2 be
less than $5.00.
V�RIFICATION OF FOUNDATION
NOTE: Permits for construction will be issued a minimum of 24 hours from the
time of application, to allow for proper review of the proposed structure and
of the construction site.
A Certified Survey af the lot,.showiag the location of the foundation, once it
has been constructed, will be required before proceedia� with the framiag.
CERTIFICATE.OF OCCUPANCY
Application for a Certificate of.Occupancy shall be made ten (10) days prior
to t,he use or occupancy of any structure for which a building pern►it has been
issued; and said etructure shall not be used or occup�ed until a Certificate
of Occup�cy has beea issued. •

truck, License #UA 01-900, on the above listed property in a junked street
inoperable condition. .
Chapter 123 of the Fridley City Code requires that all vehi.cles in the City
be currently licensed and in a street operable candition. An alternative
is to store said vehicles within a building or at an approved locati.on, e.g.

Re: Swimming Pool Construction at 6600 Fridley St N.E., Fridley
Dear Mr. White:
This letter is to make clear this department's requirements for
the swimming pool construction at the above address.
1. As indicated, one (1) skimmer approved by the National
Sanitation Foundation will be provided.
2. As indicated, one (1) inlet of approved design for fresh
and/or repurified water will be provided.
3. The filter and pump shall be approved by the N.S.F. and be of
sufficient capacity to provide a minimum turnover of at least two
(2) times ir► 24 hours. This department recommends a turnover rate
of 6 - 8 hours.
4. A deck of at least three ( 3) feet wide, measured from the pool
waters edge, shall be provided which extends completely around all
private residential pools. Above qround private residential pools
may be provided with deckinq of a minimum size of 4 feet by 4 feet
at pool entry points and provided that 6uch decking has the
approval of the City.
5. Fencing or other effective means including but not limited to
walls or buildinqs, acceptable to the City, shall be provided to
positively control all access to public and private residential
swimming pools. Fencinq ehall meet the following criteria:
a. The fencing shall prevent the entrance of children and be
without hand or foot holds that t�ould enable a person to climb
over it.
b. The fencing shall be at least 6 feet high and entrances
Bhall be equipped with eelf-closing and self-latching gates
capable of being locked.
c. Self-closinq and self-latching devices Bhall be placed at
the top of the qate or otherwise inaccessible to small children.
d. The opening between the bottom of the fence and the ground
or other surface shall be not more than four inches.

6. An automatic chlorinator should be provided with a suitable
test kit.
7. All electrical and plumbing installations shall be inspected
and approved by the City Inspection Department.
8. All overhead electrical lines must be a minimum of 10 feet
horizontally from the pool surface and 18 feet straight line
distance from the waters edge. An alternative is to bury said
lines.
9. The pool fill spout must be protected by a vacuum breaker or
air-gapped.
10. Suitable safety equipment to include but not limited to a ring
buoy and rope that is 1 1/2 times the pool diameter, and shepherds
crook pole must be provided and maintained with the pool at all
times.
Furthermore, these and any other requirements must meet the
provisions of the Fridley Gity Code, Section 115, Swimming pools.
The building permit is approved contingent on final inspections
and approval by the City.
