atirimming pool construction at the above addreaa.
1. As indicated, tWO (2) akimmera approved by the National Sanitation
Foundation xill be provided.
2. As indicated, three (3) ialets of approved design for fresh and/or
repurified t�ater will be provided.
3. As indieated� a aaia draia of approved aonatruction Will be
provided.
4. The Pilter and pump ahall be approved by the N.S.F. and be oP
sufficient eapacity to provide s minimum turnover of at least tWO (2)
times in 24 hours. Tbis departmeat recommends a turnover rate of 6- 8
hours.
5. A deck of at least three (3) feet Wide, measured from the pool
xatera edge, ahall De provided Which eztends completely around all
private residential pools. Above ground private residential pools may
be provided With deckiag of a minimum size of 4 feet Dy �1 feet at pool
entry poiats at�d provided tbat auch decking has the approval of the
City.
6. The diving area t+ill be acceptable provided there is no overhead
obstruction.
q. Fenciag or other effective aeans including but not limited to �alls
or Duildings, aceeptable to the City, ahall be provided to positively
control all access to public and private residential awimming pools.
Fencing ahall meet the Pollorring criteria:
(a) The fenciag ahall prevent the entranee of cbildren and De
eithout hand or foot holda that would enable a person to climb over
it.
(b) The fencing aball be at least 6 feet high and entrances shall
be equipped rith aelf-cloaing snd aelf-latahing gatea eapable of
being locked.
(c) Self-closing aad aelf-latchiag devices ahall be placed at the
top of the gate or othen+iae inaecessible to emall childrea.
(d) The opening betWeen the bottom of tbe fence and tbe ground or
otber aurface aball be not sere than four inches.

8. An automatic chlorinator should be provided �ith a suitable test kit.
g. All electrical and plumbing installations shall be inspeeted and
approved by the City Inspectioa Department.
10. Al1 overhead electrical lines must be a minimum of 10 feet
horizontally from the pool surface, and 18 feet straight line distance
from the Waters edge. An al.ternative is to bury aaid liaes.
11. The pool fill spout must be protected bq a vacuum breaker or
sir-gapped.
12. Suitable saPety equipment to include but not limited to a ring buoy
and rope that is 1-1/2 times the pool diameter and ahepherds crook pole
must be provided and maintained with the pool at all times.
Furthermore, these and aay other requirements must meet the provisioas oP
the Fridley City Code, Section 115, S�imming Pools. The building permit
is approved oontingent on final inspections and approval of the City.
