Section 2. The Inspector of Buildings shall, before issuing any per�►it for
the erection of any building or structure, or for any addition to any exist-
ing buil�ing or strucCure, or for any alterations or repairs to any esistin�
building or s�ructure, upon application therefor, require the paymeat by the
applicant for such permit of fees tc the amaunt herein below set forth and
in Che manner herein provided to-wit;
2.1. I�or any such permit for the erection o.f any fire�-proof building, other
than a garage� warehouse, factory or grain elevaEor, or for the erection of
aay fire-proof addition� for similar occupaacy, to any enisting building
ehall be at the rate of $1.40 for eaeh one thousaud cubic feet, or fraction
thereof, in such cubical contenta.
Z.2. For any.auch permit for the erectioa of any fire-proof gs�rage, warehause,..
factory or grain elevator, or for the erection of any fire-proof add3t3Dn,
fox aimilar occupancy, to any exiating buildiag shail be at the rate oi $1.25
for each one thousand cubic feet, clasaified as "fireproof" bq Sectioa 502 of
the Minneapolis Building.Cale. �

2.3. FoY �ny such permit for the`erectioa of any non-fireproof buildiug othe=
than a garage, warehouse� factorq or grain elevator, or anq aoa-fireproaf
addition, for similar occupancp, to �ny existiag building - permit $1.00 for
each one thousand cubic feet.

2.4. For any such permit for the erection of aay non-fiseproof garage,
warehouse, fsctory or grain elevator, or for the erectioa of any non-fireproof
add�ti,oni-€or-s�3milar occupancq, to anq existiag building or for each such
.r_ ,--bvilding or. addition - niaety. cents ($0.90) for�each oae thousand cubi� feet
or fraction thereof� in the cubical coatents thereof with a minia4um of $4.00.•
For the purpose of computiag fees for building perm3te, the c�bical coatents
of any building or addition to a uaiform height throughout by muitipl,yiag the
ground area covered from a point si�c (6) iaches below the floor line of_the
basement or cellar to the average height`of the upper surface or to the �
aver�ge heighe of the rpof surface of the main gable of a p3tched roaf.
2.5. For repairs or alteratioas to an exiating structu�, the fee ahall be
at the rate of $3.00 per each Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or fraction
thereot in the cost of all proposed work.
