Section 2. The Inspector of Buildin�a shall, before isauing anq permit far
iche erection of any buildiug or structure, or for any addi�cioa to aay exisC-
iag building or structure, or for any alterations or repairs to any exis�iag
building or si�ructure, upon appl3caCion Cherefor, require the paymeatt by the
..applicant �for such p�rmit of feea to.th� amount herein below set forth and
in �he manner.l�erein provided to-wit: �
2.1. For any such permit for the erection of any fire-proof building, other
than a garage, warehouse,� factory or grain elevator, or for the erectioa of
any fire-proof addition, for simi.las occupaacy, to any existing building
ahall be at the rate of $1.40 for each one thousand cubic feet, og fractioa
�hereof, in such cubical conteats.
2.2. For any such permit for the erection of anq fire-proof garage, warehouse,
f�.ctosy or graia elevator, or for the erection of any fire-proof addition,
for similar occupancy, to any existing buildiag shall be at the rate of $1.25
for each one thousand cubic feet, classified as °1fireproof" by Section 502 of
the Minaeapolis Building Code.

2.4. For,any such permit for the erectioa of any aon-firegroof garage,
warehouse, factory or grain elevator, or for the erec�ion of any non-fireproof
addition, for similar occupaacy, to any existiag building or for each such
building or addition - nine�y cents ($0.90) for each one �housaad cubic feet
or fraction thereof, in the cubical contents thereof with a minim� of $4.00,
For the purpose of computing fees for building permits, the cubical con-tents
of any building or addition to a uniform height throughout by multiplyin� the
ground area covered fram a poi�t six (6} iaches below the floox line of the
basement or cellar to the average heigh� of the upper surface or to the
average height of the roof surface of the main gable of a pitched roof.
2.5. For repairs or alteration� to an exis�ing structure, the fee shall be
at �he rate of $3.00 per each Fiv� Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or fraction
thereof in the cost of aZl propased work.
2.6. In no case shall the fee charged for any permit as set forth in
Section 2 be less than $4.00.
