SUBJECT: 950 Hathaway Lane - Mother In-Law Apartment Issue.
Wliile investigating the complaint regarding a"mother in-law" apartment at 950 Hathaway
Lane, staff has det�rnuned the following: =
1. The property vQa.s homesteaded but has recently been changed to a non-homestead tax
status.
2. The owners of the home, Joseph and Margarite Krauter, moved to 6175 Briardale
Court. -
3. Utility billing information for this address is sent to Karyn Jones. The 1993 assessing
file lists the home occupant as Karyn Kraut�r. Ms. Jones and Ms. Krauter are believed
to be the same person, Jones is believed to be the married name for Karyn Krauter.
4. An inspection of the location revealed a well kept yard, an open garage door, and one
vehicle parked in the driveway.
It is unknown at this time how many people are occupying the home. In accordance with
city code, as many as five unrelated people are permitted to reside in a residential home at
any one time. Staffwill be sending a letter to explain the single family and mother in-law
apartment occupancy requirements to the property owner and occupant.

flush to Top Plate (A), flush to edge
of Stud (Cj and werhanging Bottom
Plate (B) by 3/a" and overhanging
left Stud by 23/a" (H). Secure Panel
with 2-2" nails at all four corners.
