This is a follow up letter to a discussion we had last november regarding the widening of your
dr'nreway to the east At that time, I explained that City Ordinance requires written permission from
your adjacent neighbor to have a driveway closer than 3 feet to the properly line.
As you recall, this issue came up when I went out to do an on-site inspection for the building
permit for the property to the east of you. 1 visit proposed sites to review things such as the
existing drainage, proposed grading, driveway layout elevation of adjacent homes, etc. At that time,
I noted the new widening and the disturbance of properly comers. I informed you and Mr. Lamere
that property comers are not to be distiurbed per State Statute and that the City needs a letter to
put in your address file for the driveway widening.
You told me that you would get the letter fi-om your neighbor or remove part of the widened area
to get in compliance. As of today, I have not received Mr. Lameres letter nor has the driveway
widening been removed to bring into comptiance with City Ordinance.
1 have attached a copy of the City Ordinance for your review. Please contact me to explain the
