SECTION�2. The Inepeetor of Buildin�s aha.11, before issuin� peru�ita
for the erection of any building or structure, or for any additiqn to ar�.y
�xiatin� structure or building, or.for any alteration or repaire to any
existing building or structure, upon application therefp�e, require the
pa.ymen.t by the applicant for such permit Of fees to the amoun,t herein
below set forth and in the manner herein provided to-wit:
IIniform Building Code: Type 1, 2, & 4-$1075 for each one thousand
cubic feet, or fraction thereof, in such cubical c.ontents. Type 3& 5-
$1.50 for each one thousand cubic feeto
For the purpose of computin� fees for building permits, the cubical
contenta of any°buildin�'or addition to a uniform hei�ht�throughout by
multiplying the �round area cov.ered from a point six (6) inches below
the floor line of the basement or the cellar to the average he�ght of
the uppex surface or to the average hei�ht of the roof sur�aoe of the
'`` ma,in ga,ble of a pitched roof.
For repaira or alterations to an existing atructure, the fee eha11 be
at the rate of $3.00 per each five hundred dollara ($500.00) or
fraction thereof in the cost of all proposed work.
In no case shall the fee charged for any permit as set forth in 5ection
2 be leas than $5.00. '

Thank you for meeting Jim and I this morning to discuss the realignment of your driveway. As
per our conversation, the driveway opening would be slufted to the west as shown in the attached
drawing: Additional concrete will be poured adjacent to the west side of the driveway. The new
concrete section will be the City standard of 6" thick on a 4" aggregate gravel base.
I spoke to the Contractor and came to an agreement on the price as it is outside the limits of our
project. The Contractor was gracious enough to provide prices which are very close to the unit
bid prices of the large scale project. The installation cost of the concrete driveway triangle is
$400. The restoration cost of the area adjacent to the driveway is $150.
The following defines the responsibility of payment and to the Contractor.
1. The City will pay for the concrete driveway installation and restoration up to the existing
panels (Area A) just as it does throughout our street projects.
2. You, the property owner, will pay for the installation and restoration of the triangle piece
on the west side of the driveway (Area B).
The following defines the work that the contractor will be performing.
1. Installation costs of the 6" concrete driveway include excavation, removals, disposal, and
installation.
2. Restoration costs include excavation, disposal, 4" topsoil, and sodding.
Please be advised that you will also be responsible to water and maintain the sod after it is
placed on the topsoil — do not rely on the Contractor to adequately water the sod on your
private property. There is no warranty on this portion.
