BIIILDING PERMIT FEE SCHIDULE
Section 2. The Snspector of Buildings sha11, before issuing any permit
Por the erection of a,ny bu3.lding or structure, or for an�r addition to
any existing building or structure, or for any alterations or repa.irs
to any existing building or structure, upon application therefor� require
the payment by the applicant for such permit of fees to the amount herein
below set forth and in the manner herein provided to wit:
2.1, For any such permit for the erection of an�r fire-proof building, other
then a gaxage, warehouse, factory or grain elev�.tor, or for the erect3.on of •
sny fireproof addit3on, for similar occupancy, to eny existing bui.].d3n�
�hall be at the rate of �1.40 for each one thousand cubic feet, or fract3on
thereof, in such cubical contents. �
2.2. For an�r such permit for the erection of any f3reproof gare,ge� ware-
house, factory or grain elevator,'or for the erection of eny fireproof
addition for similar occupancy, to ang existing building shall be at th�
rate of �7..25 for each one thausand cubic feet, classified as "Pireproof"
by Sectian 502 of the Minrieapolis Building Code.

2.3. For any such permit for the erection of any non-fireproof building
other than a garage, warehouse, factory or grain elevator, or any non-
fireproof addition, for simi].,ax occupanc3r, to any existing building,

2.4. For any such perrmiit for the erection of any non-fireproof garage,
waxehouse, factory or grain elevator, or for the ereetion of any non-
fireproof addition, for similar occupa.ncy, to any exi.ating building�t'
for each such building or addition. Ninety Centa for each one thous�nd
cubic feet or fraction thereof, in the cubical contents thereof with a
minimum of �4.00.
For the purpose of computing fees for building permits the cubical contents
of any building or addition to a uniform height throughout by multiplying
the grovnd area covered from a point six.(6) 3nches below the f'loor line of
the ba.sement or cellar to the average height of the upper surface or to the
average_height of the roof surface of the main gable o£ a pitched raof.
2.5. For repairs or alterations to an existing structure, the fee shail be
at the rate of �3.00 for each Five Hundred Dolla,rs (�500.00), or fraction
tY�ereof in the cost of all proposed work.
2.6. In,no case sha.11 the fee charged for any per•mit as set forth in
Section 2 be less than �4.00.

DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST:
Ms. Dawn Ambuhl is requesting a special use permit to allow the construction of a second
accessory building on her property. The proposed garage is 22 feet wide by 24 feet deep, an azea of
528 square feet. The garage will utilize an existing driveway at the property. The property is
located at 6544 Hickory Street NE.

Section 205.07.O1.C. (1) requires a special use permit for accessory buildings over 240 square feet,

The existing garage is attached to the north side of the house. It is 14 feet by 22 feet and is located
11 feet from the north property line. The proposed detached garage will be located in the rear yard,

structure, or for any addition to any existing building or structure, or for any alteration or repair
