Sect� The Inspector of Buil.dings �hall, before 3ssu3ng any permit
for the erection of any bu3.lding or str�,teture, or for anyr addition to
any existing building or structure, or for an� altera.tions or repairs
to a.ay existing building or structure, upon application therefor, require
the payment by the applicant for such permit of fees to the amount hereia
below aet forth and in the manner hereisi prov�.ded to-�tit:
2.1. For any such permit for the erection of any fire-proof build3n,g, other
than a garage, warehouse,� factory or grain elevator, or £or the ereotion of
an�r fireproof addition, for similar occupancy, to any existing bui.lding
shall be at the rate o£ �1.40 for each one thousand cubic fest� or fraCtion
thereof, 3n such cubicel contents.
2.2. For an�r such permit for the erection of any f'ireproof �arage, were-
haus�� factory or grain elenator, or for the erection of ar�r ilreproo�
addition, for sim37.ar occupancy, to any existing building shall '6e at the
rate of �1.25 for ea,ch one thousand cubic feet, classif'ied as "f'3reprooPn
b3r Sect3on 502 of the Minnea.pol3s Buil.cling Code.

Permit �1.00 for each one thou�and cubic feet.
GARAGES
2.4. For ar�r such permit for the erection of any nor�f'ireproof gara�,
warehouse, factory or grain elev�tor, or for the erection oF any non-
fireproof addition, for s3.milar occupancy, to aa.ny existin� building or
for ea.ch such building or addition. Ninety Cents for each one thousand
cubic feet or f°raction thereo£, in the �tb3cal contents thereof with e
min3lnum of �..00. �

For the pt�~pose of computing fees for i�uilding permite the cubical coatents
of ar�y buil.ding or addition to a uniform height throughout by multiplying
the ground aree covered from a point six (6) inches below the f'loor line of
the ba.sement or ce3.lar to the avera�e height oF the upper a�Fece or to the
average he3ght vf the roof surface of the main gable of a p3tched roof.
2.5. For repa3re or alterationa io an exiating structure, the fee shall be
at the rate of �3.00 for each Five Hune]red Doa.l.ars (�5Q0.00), or t'raction
thereof in the coat of all proposed �rork.
2.6. In no case eha11 the fee charged for any perm3t as aet forth in

BIIILDING PERMIT FEE SCHEDULE
3ECTTON 2. The Inapector of Buildinga shell, before isauing any permit for
the erection of any building or structure, or for any addition to any e�istiug
building or structure, or for any alterations or repairs to any existing
building or structure, upon applic�tion therefore, require the payment by the
applicant for such permit of fees to the amount herein below set forth and in
the manner herein providefl tt5-wit;
2.1. For any such permit for the erection of any fire-proof building,
othei thau a garege, wasehouse, factory or grain elevator, or for the erection
of any fire-proof addition, for aimilar occupancy, to any existing building,
ahall be at the rate of $1.40 for each ane thousand cubic feeC, or fraction
thereof, in auch cubical contents.
2.2 For any such permit for the erection of anq fire-proof garage,
warehouse, factory or grain elevator, or for the erection of any fire»proof
addition, for similar occupancy, to any existing building shall be at the
rate of $1.25 for each one thousand cubic feet, classified as "fireproof°1
by Section 502 of the Minneapolis Buildiag Code. �
HOIISES
2.3. For any such permit for the erection of any non-fireproof
building, other than a garage, warehouse, factory or grain elevator, or
any non-fireproof addition, for similar occupancy, to any esiating building �
permit $1.00 for each one thousand cubic feet.
GARAGES
2.4. For any such permit for the erection of aay non-fireproof garage,
warehouse, factory or graia elevator, or for the erection of any non-fire-proof
addition, for aimilar occupancy, to any egi�ting building or for each such
building or addit3.on - niaety cents ($0.90) for each one thous.and cubic feet
or fraction thereof, in the cubical contents thereof with the minimum of $4.00.
For the purpose of computing fees for building permits, the cubical contents
of any building or addition to a uuiform heighC throughout by mu].tiplying the
ground area covered from a point six (6) inches below the floor line of Che
baseanent or cellar to the average h��ght of the upger surface or to the average
height of the roof surface of the main gable of a pitched roof.
2.5. For repaira or alterations to an existing atructure, the fee shall
be at the rate of $3.00 per each Five Sundred Dollars ($500.00) or fruc`�ton
thereof in the cost of a11 proposed work.
2.6. Tn no case 8ha11 the fee charged for any permit as set forth in
Section 2 be less than $4.00.

A mechanical permit was issued on June 25, 1998 for the property located at
1316 Hillcrest Drive NE for a furnace and an air conditioning unit. According to
Section 305(a) of the 1991 Uniform Mechanical Code a final inspection shall be
performed on the mechanical system. As of this date no inspection has been
called for.
You will be given thirty (30) days from receipt of this notice to respond. If we do
not hear from you, we will expire the permit and any inspections on this
