SECTION 2. The Inspector of Buildings shall, before issuing permits for the erection
of any bvilding or structure, or for any addition to�any existing building or structure,
or for any alteration or repairs to any.existing building. or structure, upon application
therefore, require the payment by the app].icant for such permit of fees to the amount
herein below set forth and in the manner herein�pravided to-wit:
NEW�CONSTRUCTIOPJ: Single Family Homes and Garages: $4.00/1,000 cubic feet.
PLAN CHECK: 25 percent of building permit fee.
DRIVEWAY DEPRESSION: (Concrete C�rb Streets Only)
Alternate A: Removal and replacement of concrete curb and
gutter only; Driveway width plus 6 feet x$11.75
Alternate B: Removal and replacement of concrete curb and
gutter and install a 3'foot wide approach with
. 6 inch depth; Driveway width plus 6 feet x$15.40

For the purpose of computing fees for building permits, the cubical contents of any
building or addition, is determined by multiplying the ground area covered from a
point six (6) inches below the floor line of the basement or th� cellar to the
average heights of the upper surface or to the average height of the roof surface
of the main gable of a pitched roof.
For repairs or alterations to an existing structure, the fee shall be at the rate
of $3.00 �ier each five hundred dollars ($500.00) or fraction thereof in the cost
of a1.1 proposed work.
In no case shall the fee charged for any permit as set forth in Section 2 be less
than $7.50 plus $.50 state surcharge.
_VERIFICATIO� F FOUNDATION
NOTE: Permits for construction will be issued a minimimn of 24 hours from the time
of application to allow for proper review of the proposed structure and of the
construction siLe.
A Certificate of Survey of the lot, shawing the location of the foundation once it
has been constructed will be required before proceedi.ng with the framing.
CERTIFICATE OF OCCIPANCY
Application for a Certificate of Occupancy shall be made ten (10) days prior to the
use or occupancy of any structure for which a building pernmit has been issued; and
said structure shall not be used or occupied until a Certificate of Occupancy has
been issued.

7b Whom It May Concern:
This letter is in response to a request from Mr. Charles Hansen who
holds a permit to re-roof his residence at 1349 Hillcrest Drive N.E.
in Fridley. Mr. Hansen requested that we attest that "give" in the
roof decking in one particular portion of the house roof was not
due to damage or rot.
On October 18, 1977, �khe roof area left of the front living room
"picture" window was reinspected and no damage or rot was encountered.
The shiplath boards irsed as roof decking are dry and sound, and show
no signs of deterioration from moisture.
I hope this is of some help in answering any questions that might
have been raised about this section of the roof decking. If gou
