On September 17, 1981 we made a final inspection on the above referenced
property and there were three Code deficiencies noted for w�.ch.corrections
are necessary.
1. Post address on front of structure.
2. Provide a handrail on the outside entrance to the west unit (1251).
3. The wood burning device in the east unit (1253) must be removed or
installed according to manufacturers specifications. The other
alternative would be to remove and relay the brick on the walls with
a one inch ai.r space between the brick and the c�bustible wall
behind it. Air must also be allowed to enter the cavity along the
bottom.
Please see that these corrections are completed by October 15, 1981 when
a reinspection will be made to determi.ne compliance.
We are also enclosing an application for licensing the property for use
as a rental structure. Please co�plete this application and return with
the appropriate fee for processing.

Western Ridge Estates Condominiums – Deck Replacement & Repairs
I have completed my structural inspection and review of the proposed deck
replacement and the deterioration of the existing wood frarning at the garage
wall and headers at the Westem Ridge Estates Condominiums. According to my
calculations, the existing garage wall which is the load bearing wall for the
clearspan scissors roof framing over these units must be temporarily shored in
order to complete the repair and replacement of the deteriorated and rotted wood
framing. I propose a scheme using a minimum of six (6) shoring beams with
adjustable posts as indicated on the attached drawings. The temporary shoring
wil°1 adequately support the end wall and roof framing and allow access for the
recommended repairs. The utits can remain occupied while the shoring is in
place. I recommend the following procedure:
REMOVE TF� GYPSUM BOARD CEILING IN THE GARAGE BACK
TO 'I'I� FIRST FLOOR TRUSS.
CUT ANY ACCESS HOLES THAT MAY BE .REQUIltED IN ORDER
TO IIYST.ALL 'THE TEMPORARY SHORING BEAMS AS SHOWN.
THE BF�4MS SHOULD BE PLACED ASNEAR AS POSSIBLE TO THE
LOCAT70NSINDICATED WHICHISBASICALLYATTHESUPPORT
ST'UD LOCATIONS FOR THE EXIS77NG HEADERS OVER ?HE

AFTER THE SHORING IS I1V PLACE AND STABILIZED, THE
