According to John, 011ie Erickson has hired a hauler named Ed Chies to bring in fill to raise the elevation of his property. The matter has been reviewed by the Rice Creek Watershed district and the Army Corps of Engineers. The City has issued a permit for land alteration based on the positive response of the Rice Creek Watershed District. There are no specific plans to build anything on the property. The owner is simply attempting to raise the elevations. Currently, an unknown source is dumping material at the site. The City is working with the property owner in an attempt to identify the organization using the site to either cease operations or to comply with the Rick Creek permit requirements.
