SECTIOP 2. The Inapecto� of $uildings sha�.l, before issuing aay permit for
the erect3on of any building or structure, or for anq addition to aay existing
building o� etructure, or for any alterationa or repairs to any existing
build3ng or atructure, upon applicatioa therefore, require the payment by the
applicant for such permit of fees to the a�ount herein.below set forth and in
the manner herein prov�ded te�wit; �'°�
2.1. For any auch permit fo� the e�ection of any fire•proof building,
othei than a garage, warehouse, factory or grain elevator, or for the erection
of anq £ire-proof addition, for eimilar occupaacy, Co any esisting building,
ehall be at the rate of $1,.40.for each one thousand cubic feet, or fraction
thereof, in such cubical�contenta. .
2.2 For any-auch permit for the erection of�any fire-proof garage,
warehous�, factory or grain elevator, or for the ereetion of any�fire•proof
addition, for similar_occupancy, to any e$isCing building aha11 be at the
rate of $1.25 for each one thousand cubia �eet, c�assified as "fireproof"
by Section 502 of the„ Minneapo],is Building Code.

2.3. For any such permit for the erection of any aon-fireproof
building other than a garage, warehouae, factory or �rain eZevator, or
any non-fireproof addition, for s3milar occupancy, to eny esieting bui�.ding -
permit $1.OU for each one thousand cubic f�et.
GARAGES
2.4. For any such .permit for tho erection of any non-fireproof garage,
warehouse, factory or grain elevator, or for the erection of any noa-fire-proof
addition, fo� similar occupancy, to any esisting buildiag or for each such
building or add3tion - ninety cents ($0.90) for each one thousand cubic feet
or fraction thereof, in the cubical contenfis thereof with ehe minimum of $4.00.
For the purpose of computing fees for buildiag permits, the cubical contenta
of any building or additioa to a uniform height thzoughout by multiplying�the
ground area covered from a point six (6) inches below the floor line of the
basement or cellar to the average h�ight of the upper aurface or to the average
heighe of the roof surface of the main gable of a pitched roof.
2.5. For repaire or•alterationa to an existing atructure, the fee sha11
be at th'� rate of $3.00 per each Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or.trac���n ,
thereof in the cost of :all:.proposed work. � �
2,.,:6. In no case shall the fee charged for any permit as aet forth in
Section 2 be less than $4.00.

For repairs or alterations t� an exis-ting structure, 'the fee shall be at the rate

of application tc allew for proper r�view of the �roposed structure and of the
construction site.
A Certificate of Survey of the lot, showing the location of the foundation once it
has been constructed will be required before proceedixg with the framing.
