SECTIOP 2. The Inspactor of $uildings shall, befose iseuing any permit for
the erection of any building or sEructure, or for any gddition to any existing
building or structure, or for any alterationa or repairs to aay existing
building or atructure, upon application therefore, require the payment by the
applicant for such permit of fee� to the amount_herein.below_Bet £orth and in
the manner herein provided to-wit:
2.1. For any such permit for the erection of any fire•proof building,
othei th�n a garage, warehouse, factory or grait� el�evator, or for the erection
of any fire-proof addition, for aimilar occupancy, to any eaiating building,
sha11 be at.tha rate of $1.40 for each one thousand cubic feet, or fra�ctioa
thereof, in such cubical coutenta.
2.2 For any such permit £or the erection of any fire-proof garage,,
warehouse, factory or grain elevatoz, or for the erection of any fire�proof
addition� foi similar occupancy, to any exieting building �hall be at the
rate of $1:25 for each one thousand cubiC feeC, ciaseified as "fireproof"
by Section 502 0£ the Minneapolis Building Code. ,

2.3. For any such p�rmit for the.erection of aay non-fireproof
building, other;than a garage, warehouae, factory or grain eievator, or
anq non•fireproof addition, for aimilar'occupancy, to�any existing building -
permit $1.00 for each one thousand cubic feet.
GARAGES
2.4. For any auch perm3t for the erection of any non•fireproof garage,
warehouae, factory or grain elevaCor, or for the erection of any non-fire-proof
addition., for similar occupancy, to any egistiag buildi� or for each such � R�
building or additioa - ninetq cents ($0..90) for each one thousand cubic feet
or fraceioa thereof, in the cui�ical contents�thereof with the minimum of $4.00.
For the purpose of compuCing fees for building permita, the cubical contenta
of any building or addition to a uaiform height throughout by multiplying the
ground area covered from a point six (6) inchea below tha floor line of the
basement or cellar to the average height o�.the upper aurface or to the average
height of the roof �urface of the main gable of a pitched roof.
2.5. For repaira or a].terationa to an exiating structure, the fee shall
be at th rate of $3.00�per each Five Suridred Dollars ($SOQ.00) or fr�ciY��,
thereof ia the coat of all proposed work. '
2.6. In no case 8ha11 the fee ch�rged for any permit as set forth in
Section 2 be lesa ehan $4.00. �

applicant for auch permit of�.fees to the ffinount herein.below.set forth and in
the manner herein provided to-wit: �
2.1. For any euch permit for the erection of any fire-proof build.ing,
othei than a garage, warehouae, factorq or grain elevator, or for the erection
of any�fire-proof addition, for similar accupancy, to any eg3eCing building,
shall be at .the rate of $�.40"�for each one thousand cubic feet, or fraction -.
thereof, in auch cubical contents.
2.2 For any such permit for the erection of any fire-proof garage,
