erectioa of any building or structure, or fcr ar�y addition to any exiating build-
ing or atsucture, or for any alterations or repairs to any existing build3ng or
structure� upon application therefor, require the peyment by the applican'L fcr
such permit of fees to the amount herein below aet forth and in the mat�ner herein

� 2.1. For any such perm3t for the erection of any fire-proof building, other thaa
a garage, warehouse, factory or grain elenator, or for the erect3.on of any fire-
proof e.ddition, for aimilar occupano�r, to any exist3x►g building shall be at the
rate of �"l.l�.0 for esch one thousand cubic feet, or fraction thereof, in such
cubical contents.
2.2. For any such p�rmit for the erection of an3r fireproof garage, w�rehouse,
factory or grain elevator, or for the erection of any fireproof addition, for

Dear Ms. Meinicken and Mr. Leslie:
On May 24, 2000, the Fridley Appeals Commission officially approved a request for variance, VAR #00-12, to
reduce the side yard setback on a comer lot from 25 feet to 12 feet to allow the reconstruction of a garage on
Lots 55 and 56, Block S, Riverview Heights Addition, generally located at 600 Hugo Street, with the following
stipulations:
1. The petitioner shall obtain all necessary permits prior to demolition and reconstruction of the
garage.
2. The petitioner shall build the south wall of the garage in accordance with the 3 foot side yard
setback requirement.
3. The petitioner shall build the south wall in accordance with all Building Code req,uirements relative
to firewall constructictn.
4. The petitioner shall not engage in any home occupations within the garage.
5. The petitioner shall assure that the garage will be built to be architecturally compatible with the
principal structure.
6. The petitioner shall have a hard surFace driveway installed to serve the garage within 12 months of
the issuance of the building permit for the garage construction.
You have one year from the date of the Appeals Commission action to initiate construction. If you cannot
begin construction during this time, you must submit a letter requesting an extension at least three weeks prior
to the expiration date.
