BUILDING PERMIT �E��SCHEDULE
SECTION 2. The Inspector of Buildings shall, bef�ore issuing permits for the
erection of any building ox st�ucture, or for any addition to any existing
building or structure, or for any alteration or repairs to any existing .

UNLFORM BUILDING CODE: Type l, 2& 4-$2.-15 for each one thousand cubic

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
For the purpose of computing fees for building permits, the cubical contents
of any building or addition, is determined by multiplying the ground area
covexed from a point six (6) inches Uelow the floor line of the basement
or the cellar to the ave-rage heights of the upper surface or io the avexageA
�height of the roof surface of the main gable of a pitched roof..
� For repaixs or alterations to an existing structure, the fee shall be at the

B. If any court of competent jurisdiction shall adjudge invalid
the application of any provision of this Chapter to a particular
property, building or other structure, such judgment shall not
affect the application of said provision to any other propgrty,
building or structure not specifically included in said judgment.
3. IJONCONFORMING IISES AND STRIICTURES
A. Any structure or use lawfully existing upon the effective date
of this Chapter may be continued after such date except as
hereinafter specified or as allowed under special district
requirements.
b Nothing in this Chapter shall prevent the upgrading of a
onconforming structure to a safe condition when said structure
is declared unsafe by the City, provided the necessary repairs
shall not constitute more than fifty percent (508) of the fair
market value of such structure.
�, C. Whenever the nonconforming use of a structure is chang�d to
a use permitted in a more restricted district, such use shall not
thereafter be changed to a use permitted in a less restricted
district.
�D� Whenever a lawful nonconforming structure is damaged by fire,
flood, explosion� earthquake, tornado, riot, or act of God� it may
be reconstructed and txsed as before if it is reconstructed within
twelve (12) months after such calamity, except if the damage to
the building or structure is fifty percent (50$) or more of its
fair market value� as determined by the City. in which case the
reconstruction shall be for a use in accordance with the
provisions of this Chapter.
E. Whenever a lawful nonconforming use of a structure or lan�1 is
abandoned for a period of twelve (12) months, an}� future use of
said structure or land shall be in conformity with the provisions
of this Chapter.
F. Any nonconforming use shall not be moved to another part of
the parcel of land upon which the same was conducted at the time
of the adoption of this Chapter.
G. Any structure which will under this Chapter become
.j nonconforming but for which a building permit has been lawfully
� granted prior to the effective date of this Chapter or of
, amendments thereto� may be completed in accordance with the

The Chief Building Official shall, before issuing permits for the erection of any bui.lding or
structure, or for any add.ition to any e�isting building or stracture, or for -a�xy a1�-eration or repair
to any e�sting building or structure, upon application therefore, require the paymeni by the
applicant for such permit of fees to the amount herein below set forth and in the manner herein
