SEG°rION 2. The Inspector of Buildings s1zall. before issuiug any permit for the
�rection of any building or atructure, or fos any additian to anq e$isting build-
fng or sts'ucture, or for any alterations or repaire to anq eziet3ng building or
structure, upon application ,therefore, require the payment by the agplicant for
sucb permit of fees to the aimount herein below set forth and in the manner herein
provided to-wit;
2.1. For �ny such p�imiC for the erection of any fire-praof bufldin�,
other tban a garagea warehouse, factory or grain elevator, or for the erection
of any fire-proo£ additioa, for s3milar occupancy, to any existiag buiZding,
shall be at the rate of $1.40 for each one thousaud cubic feet, ox fractaton
thereof, i�i such cubical contents.
2+2. For'any such permit for the erection of any fire-proof garage,
W�rehouse, factory or graia elevator, ar for the erectian of any fire-proof
sddi.tion, for similar occupancy, to any esisting building shall be at the rate
vf $1.25 for each one thousand cubic feet, claesified as "fireproof" bq
Section 542 of the Minneapolis Building Gode.

one thousand cubic feet. �

For the purpose of computing fees for buildin� permits, the cubical conCenes
of any building or addition to a uniform height throughout by multiply3.ng the
ground area covered from a po3nt six (6) inches below the floor line of the
basement or cellar to Che average height of the upper surface or to the average
height of the roof �urface of the maia gable of a pitched roof.
2.5. For repairs or alteratioas to aa existing structure, th� £ee sha11
be at the rate of $3.00 per each Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or fraction
thereof in the coat of all propoaed work.
