BUILDING PERMIT FEE SCHEDULE
SECTION 2. �he Inspector of Buildings shall, before issuing permits for the
erection of any building or structure, or for any addition to any existing
building ar structure, or for any alteration or repairs to any existing
building or structure, upon application therefore, require the payment by the
applicant for such permit of fees to the amount herein below set forth and in
the manner herein provided to-wit:
UIVIFORM BUILDING CODE: Type 1, 2& 4-$2.15 for each one thousand cubic
feet, or fraction thereof, in such cubical contents. �pe 3& 5-$1.85 for
each one thousand cubic feet.
ADDI'TIONAL INFORMATION
For the purpose of computing fees for building permits, the cubical conteats
of any building or addition, is d�termined by multiplying the ground area
covered from a point six (6) inches below the floor line of the basement
or the cellar to tche average heights of the upper surface or to the average�
height of the roof surface of the ma.in gable of a pitched roof.
For repairs or altera�ions to an existing structure, f�he fee shall be at the
rate of $3.00 per each five hundred dollars ($500.00) or fraction thereof in
the cost of all proposed work.
In no case shall the fee charged for any pezmit as set forth in Section 2 be
lesa than $5.00.
VBRIFICATION OF FOUNDATION
NOTE: Permits for construction will be issued a minimum of 24 houra fram the
time of application, to allow for proper review of the proposed structure and
of the coastruction site.
A Certified Survey of the lot, showing the location of the foundation, once it
has been constructed, will be required before proceeding with the framing.
CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY
Application for a Certificate of Occupancy shall be made ten (10) days prior
to the use or occupancy qf any structure fo� which a building pextnit has been
issued; and said structure shall not be used or occupied until a Certificate
of Occupancy has been issued. •

Mr. I.�xry Vogt was present to preaent the request.
Mr. Vogt pr�sented a aketch of the lot ehawi�g Ehe existing house, garage and
driveway locatione. Mr. Vogt explained he waata to build a 16 foot by 22 foot
�arag�, 2 feet from the side lot line, 4 feet from the rear lot line and 8 feet
behind the house. 'Ihe houea hae a walk out baeement in the rear as the back
yard is 4 feet lvwer than the front yard. 7��a will be 10 rawe of blocke under
the �uage with 4 of theee being und�r �rouad �or froet protection. He is ueing
the blocke under the garage instead of ueing fill eo the drivaway �ill drain taward
the •treet iastead of draiaing taward the lot behind him as it now does. Th�re
will also be a block retaining wall on either eide of th� driveway.
Ms. Vogt addsd there ie an old garage an the back of hia lot which he intenda to
tear dowa ae he does not use it as a garage aad which ha conaiders a hazard.

aad more behind the house?
N�rr. Vogt answered he would like to have a etraight driva�ay eo he would not hava
to turn to get into tha garage. There ara eteps, 42 inches wide, that come off
the houee tvward the drivoway �hich he might bit in tiie wintestim� if he had a
turn in hie drive.

and a�ked tho applicant if the�e was ony way that he could look at thia eituation
again to come up with saothe= placement of the gasage to try to stay within the
Code.
