SECTION 2. The Inspector of $uildings shall, before isauing any permit for
the erect3on of any building or structu�e� or tor any addition to any existing
buildiag oY structure, or for any alterations or repaire to any exiatin�
building or atructure, upon applic�tion therefore, require Che payment by the
applicant fox.such permit of fees to the amount herein.b.elow set forth and in
the manner herein provided to-wit;
2.1. For anq euch permit for the erection of any £ire-proof building,
othei than a garage, warehouse, factory or grtiin elevator, or for the erection
of any �fire-proof additicm, for s3milar occupancy, to any esisting building,
shall be at the rate of $1,40 for each one thousand cubic feet, or fraction
thereof, in such cubical conteata. .
2.2 For any such permit for the erection of any fire-proo.f garage,,
warehousa, factory or gra3n elevato�, or for the erection of any fire»proof
addition, for similar occt�pancy�, to.any esisting building ahall be at the
rate of $1.25 for eac'h one t'housand cubic feet, classified as "tireproof"
by Section.502 of the Minneapolla Buildiag Gode. ,.

2.3. For anq such permit for.tbe erectioa of any aon-fireproof
building, other than a garage, warehouso, factory ar grain e2evator, or
any non-fireproof addition, for eimilar occupancy, to any exisCing building,�
permit $1.00 for e�ch one thousand cubic feet.
GARAGES -
2.4. For any such permit-for tho erection of anq non-fireproof garage,
warehouae, factory or graia elevator, or for the erection of any non-f3re-proof
addition, for similar occupaney, to aay egisting buildirig ar for eacH�such �
building or addition - ninety centa ($0.90) for each one thous.and cubic feet
or fraction thereof, in the cubical contents thereof with the minimum of $4.00.
For the purpose of computing fees for building permita, the cubical contents
of any building or addition to a uaiform height throughnut by multiplping the
ground area covered from a point ai.�c (6) inches below the flaor iine of the
baseament or cellar to the average h�ight of the upper surface or to the average
height of the roof surface of the main gable of a pi�tched roof.
2.5. For repa3ra or alterations to an eais.ting structure, the fee shall
be at the xate of $3.00 per each Five Hundred.Dollare ($500.00) o.r fr�c�i�n �
thereof in the cost of all proposed work. "
2.6. In no case ehall the fee charged for any permit as aet forth in
Section 2 be lesa than $4.00. , ,
