The Inspector of Buildings shall, before issuing permits for the erection of any building or structure, or for any addition to a,ny existing buildiag or structure, or for any alteration or repairs to any exiating building or structure, upon application therefore, require the payment by the applica.nt for such permit of fees to the amount herein below set forth and in the manner herein provided to-wit: iTNIFORM BUILDING CODE: �pe 1, 2� 4-$2.15 for each one thousand cubic feet, or fxaction thereof, in such cubical contents. Type 3� 5-$1.85 for each one thousan,d cubic feet. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION For the purpose of computing fees for building permits, the cubical contents of any building or addition, is determined by multiplying the ground area covered from a point aix (6) inches below the floor line of the basement or the cellar to the average heights of the upper surface or to the average.* height of the roof surface of the ma.in gable of a pitched roof. For repairs or alterations to an existing structure, the fee shall be at the rate of $3.00 per each five hundred dollars ($500.00) or fraction thereof in the cost of all proposed work. - In no case shall the fee charged for any permit as set forth in Section 2 be lesa than $5.00. VERIFICATION OF FOUNDATION NOTE: Pes�nits for conatruction will be issued a miniimum of 24 hours from the time of applicatioa, to allow for proper review of the proposed structure and of the coastruction site. A Certified Survey of the lot, showing the location of the foundation, once it has beea constructed, will be required before proceedinr� with the framing. FRIDLEY, MN 55432 •(612) 571-3450 • FAX (612) 571-1287 December 30, 1998 Bradley Fulwider 7441 Jackson St NE Fridley, NIDT 55432 Re: Construction Without Obtaining a Building Permit (Reroof at 7441 Jackson St NE) Dear Mr. Fulwider: According to Section 106.1 of the 1994 Uniform Building Code as adopted by the City of Fridley, no building or structure regulated by this Code shall be erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, improved, removed, converted, or demolished unless a separate permit for each building or structure has first been obtained from the Building Official. You have been notified of your need to obtain a building permit and have failed to comply as of today's date. As a result, a special investigation fee will now be added to the permit, equal to the permit fee. The City of Fridley will give you 30 days in which to comply before turning this matter over to the City Attorney for his legal consideration.
