BUILDING PERMIT FEE SCHEDULE
SECTION 2. The Inspector of Buildings shall, before issuing permits for the
erection of any building or structure, or for any addition to any existing
building or atructure, or for any alteration or repairs to any exiating
building or structure, upon application therefore, require the payment by the
applicant for such permit of fees to the amount herein below set forth and in
the manner herein provided to-wit:
tTNIFORM BUILDING CODE: �pe 1, 2� 4-$2.15 for each one thousand cubic
feet, or fraction thereof, in such cubical conteats. 7.`ype 3� 5-$1.85 for
each one thousand cubic feet.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
For the purpose of computing fees for building peYmits, the cubical contents
of any building or addition, is determined by multiplying the ground area
covered from a point six (6) inches below the floor line of the basement
or the cellar to the average heights of the upper surface or to the average.•
height of the roof surface of the main gable of a pitched roof.
For repairs or alterations to an existing structure, the fee shall be at the
rate of $3.00 per each five hundred dollars ($500.00) or fraction thereof in
the cost of all proposed work.
In no case shall the fee charged for any permit as set forth ia Section 2 be
lesa than $5.00.
VERIFICATION OF FOUNDATION
NO�E: Permits for construction will be issued a miai�m of 24 hours from the
time of application, to allow for proper review of the proposed structure aad
of the coastruction aite.
A Certified Survey of the lot,.showing the location of the foundation, once it
has been constructed, will be required before proceediat� with the framing.
CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY
Application for a Certificate of Occupancy shall be made ten (10) days prior
to the use or occupancy of any structure for which a building pezmit has been
issued; and said structure shall not be used or occup�ed until a Certificate
of Occupaacy has been issued. •

Re: Concrete Obstruction In The Gutter
Dear Mr. Roeske:
It has been confirmed by recent inspections that you have placed concrete in
the gutter immediately in front of your driveWay. This practice obstructs the
Water f1oW in the gutter and can eause damage to City vehicles when clearing
snoW from the streets.
Therefore the City must require that any material be removed from the gutter.
To insure that all the concrete is removed and that there is no damage to the
curb� a City street maintenance cre� will be removing the concrete.
Any initial costs Will be absorbed by the City� but if at a later date, it is
found that a neW obstruction exists, any ner� removal expenses will be the
property oWner�s responsibility.
If you feel that a problem exists xhen trying to enter your drivexay from the
street, please contact the City Engineering Department about acceptable
solutions, e.g. constructing a neW driveway depression. It should be noted
that only the City or its authorized eontractor ean do eurb and autter eement

It has beea conPirmed by recent inspections that you have placed concrete
in the gutter immediately in froat of your drivexaq. This practice
obstructs the �ater flow in the guttier and can cause damage to City
vehicles When elearing snox from ihe street�.
Therefore the City aust require that anq material be removed from the
gutter. To insure that all the concrete is removed and that there is no
damage to the curb, a City street maintenance crex will be removing the
concrete Within the next veek.
Any initial costs xill be absorbed by the City, but if at a later date�
it is found that a aew obstruction exists� any new removal expenses will
be the property owner's responsibility.
If you feel that a problem exists when trying to enter your driveway from
the street, please contacti the City Engineering Department about
acceptable solutions� e.g. constructing a new drive�ay depressio n. j�,
should be noted t at only the CitY or its authorized contractor can do
curb and gutter cement vork.
