As requested, I have completed my structural analysis and r.eview of the proposed solar
collector panel installation on the roof of the house locatecf at 564 Janesville Street NE
in Fridley, Minnesota. .
The installation consists of two 4 ft. x 8 ft. solar panels. The panels will be placed on the
sloped wood rafter roof on the south side of the house. The roof framing consists of 2x4
rafters and 2x6 ceiling joists. Solar panels exert wind load stresses on the roof framing
and create conditions for snow drifting. I have designed the solar installation for 90 mph
wind loads and 35 psf snow loads plus drifting conditions. According to my calculations
some modifications and strengthening of the roof framing will be required for this
installation. Please refer to the attached d�awings for the required stnactural work.

installation to the City of Fridley Building Inspections Department and contact me with
