Mr. Moravetz said he wanted to re-define the area on the northeast corner located in what is called the "visi�n safety cont.�ol zone". This is an area 25 feet to each side of the corner and must be kept visually clear for traffic. Plantings of not more than 4 feet high are allowed here. Mr. Ronald Williams, 600 Janesville Stxeet, cacne-forward to explain his request: • He said he had a single car garage facing Janesville Street and wanted to build an addition to make it a 2 car garage. Without the variance, he could only add 4-1/2 feet, which was impracti�cal. He had talked to the neighbors and heard no complaints. Ms. Schnabel asked if this neW garage addition would tie in with the new addition on �:-,�� the home. � � The petitioner said they w�uld not actually touch, but the roof lines would tie in. Mr. Kemper asked what the boulevard is along this street. � Mr. Williams said 9-1/2 feet and the new gaxage will be 20 feet from the curb.
