Section 2. The Ynspectar of Buildings shalla be£ore iseuiug ��r permie for
the e:ection of eny buildiag or structure,� or for any add�tion to aay egist-
ing bu3.lding or structure, or for any alterations or"repaire to a�aq e�is�ing
building or seructure, upoa application eherefor, require the paycnent by t�he
applican� for such permit of feee to the amount her�in below set iorth and
in �he manner herein provided to-wi�:
2.1. For any auch permit for the erect�.on of auq fire-proof building, other
than a gazage� warehouse, factosy or graia elevator, or for the. erectioa of
any fire-proo£ addition, for simi.lar occupaacy, to any existing building
shall be at t�e rate of $�,40 for each one thausand cubic feet� or fraction
�hereof, in such cubical contents.
2.2. For any such permit for �he erec�ion of any fire-proof garage, warehouse,
fac�ory or grain elevator, or for the erection of any fire-proof addition,
for similar occupancy, to any existing buildiag sh�ll be at the rate of $1.25
for each oae thousand cubic feet, classified as B1fireproof" by Sectian 502 of
�he Minne�polis Building Code. � . �

2.3. For any such permit for the erection of �ny non-f�reproof building other
than a garage, warehouse, factorp or grain elevator, or aay non-fireproof
addition, for simi�ar occupancy, to any existing building - permit $1.00 for
eacla oae thousand cubic feet.
GARAGES
2.4. For any such permit far the erection of any non-fireproof garage,
warehouse, factory or grain elevator, or €or the e�ec�ion of any non-firegsoof
additioa, for similar occupancy, to a,ny existiag buildiag or for each such
building or �ddition - nine�y cents ($0.90) for each one thausand cubic feet
or fraction thereof, ia �the cubical contents thereof w3th a minimum of $4.00.
For the purpose of computcing feee for building permits, the cubical contenes
of any building ox addition to a unfform heigh� throughout by multiplying the
ground area covered fram a poin� sig (6) inches below the floor line of the
basement or cellar to the average height of the upper surface or to the
average height of the roof surface of the main gable of a pitched roof.
2.5. For repairs or alterations to an existing structure, the fee shall be
at �he rate of $3.00 per each Fiv� Hundred Dollara ($500,00) or fraction
thereof in the coat oi� al�l..proposed work.
2.6. In no case sha11 the fee charged for aay permit as seC forth ia
Section 2 be less than $4.00. "

The Chief Building Official shall, before issuing Permits for the erection of any building or
siractiue, or for any ad.dition to any existing building or structure, or for any alteration or repair
to any existing building or structure, upon application therefore, require the payment by the
applicant for such permit of fees to the amoun.t herein below set forth and in the manner herein
provided to-wit:

Permits for constructi.on will be issued a minimum of 24 hours from the iime of application to
allow for proper review of proposed structure and of the constntction site.
