Recently it was brought to the City's attention that a drain pipe
is being used to run water off your property. A site inspection
revealed that this is creating a drainage problem on an adjacent
property.
Please review the enclosed section of the Fridley Zoning Code,
which prohibits any use which results in water problems on adjacent
properties. It is important that you comply with this section by
. removing this drain pipe as soon as possible.
A reinspection will be conducted on or about May 10, 1990, at which

Mr. John Kuusisto, of 585,7anesville, contacted me last Friday, May
18, 1990, regarding the drainage coming from your property onto
his. Mr. Kuusisto explained to me that it appeared you had placed
a splash block at the end of the drain pipe, but that this was not
alleviatING the flood problems he is experiencing. I have not had
the time to personally view the improvement you have made.
Attached is a sketch of an inexpensive alternative that could be
made that would alleviate a good portion of the water that is
running down to Mr. Kuusisto's house by allowing the water a chance
to spread out and soak into the ground. When I first met with Mr.
Kuusisto, he offered to help in the labor to do any fix that would
stop �his problem. Mr. Kuusisto's home phone number is 786-5849.
I think it is important that either yourselves or Mr. Kuusisto make
an effort to get together on this problem. I am a€raid that if
something is not done to settle this problem, civil action may be
brought by one or another of the parties.

The Chief Building O�cial shall, before issuing permits for the erection of any building or structure, or for
any addition to any existing building or structure, or for any alteration or repair to any existing building or
structure, upon application therefore, require the payment by the applicant for such permit of fees to the amount
herein below set forth and in the manner herein provided to-wit:

VERIFICATION OF FOUNDATION
Permits for construction will be issued a minimum of 24 hours from the time of application to allow for proper
review of the proposed structure and of the construction site.
A Certificate of Survey of the lot, showing the location of the foundation once it has it has been constructed
will be required before proceeding with the framing.
