give notice of such public hearing by publishing a
notice thereof in the official newspaper of the City
of Fridley according to law, such notice to be sub-
stantially in the form and substance of the notice
attached hereto as Exhibit "A ".

RESOLUTION NO. 103 - 1960
A RESOLUTION RELATING TC THE PURCHASE OF PARK PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the.citizens of the City of Fridley voted approval
of a bond issue for the acquisition of Park property, and,
WHEREAS, the Park Board and the Planning Commission of the
City of Fridley have recommended to the City Council that ap-
proximately 99 acres of property presently owned by the Locke
Estate which lies between Highway 65 and Highway 56 and lies in
the South z of Section 11, Township 30, Range 24, and is bounded
on the North by the ?Minnesota Transfer Company right -of -way, and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley has consi-
dered the recommendation of the Park Board and Planning Commis-
sion and is in full agreement with such recommendation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the
City of Fridley, that:
1. The City of Fridley desires to purchase said approxi-
mately 99 acres from the Locke Estate.
2. The City of Fridley asks that the Locke Estate, through
its executor, Mr. Howard Crabtree, submit a sale price
for said property, to the City Council, at its earliest
convenience.
3. The City Council of the City of-Fridley intends to con -
sumate the purchase of said property within the year
1960, if the price of said land is within the financial
capabilities of the City of Fridley.
