1. It is hereby declared to be the intention of this Council
to adopt the aforementioned franchise ordinance immediately
after, and providing thr t, the legislature of the State of
Minnesota enacts enabling legislation authorizing and em-
powering this municipality to enact such franchise ordinance
2. This Council herewith urges the enactment by the Legislature
of the State of Minnesota of appropriate enabling legislation
which will permit this municipality to adopt the aforementioned
uniform franchise ordinance, so as to act in concert with
other municipalities in the regulation of the rates and
practices of the Minneapolis Gas Company, such enabling
legislation to be in substantially the form of the legislative
bill which accompanies the aforementioned franchise ordinance.

RESOLUTION NO. 160 - 1960
RESOLUTICN MAKING TRANSFER OF CERTAIN FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City Council has previously authorized certain
expenditures for Sewer and Water Improvement Project No. 13 (sewer and
water mains on the East River Road) in the amount of $328,867.55 and
WHEREAS, bonds have been issued and sold in the amount of
$330,000.00 for Sewer and Water Improvement Project No. 13 - 1960,
and
WHEREAS, an assessment Roll has been prepared and adopted in the
amount of $216,021,39 and
WHEREAS, there will be insufficient money on hand in the Sinking
Fund of Sewer and Water Improvement Project No. 13 -1960, to meet the
bond obligations due in the year 1961, as the amount of the assessment
roll adopted was less th4p the amount of.the bond issue,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of
Fridley, meeting at a regul ^r session on the 6th day of December, '
1960, that there be transferred from the operating accounts of the
Public Utility Fund to the Sinking Account of Sewer and Water Improve-
ment Project No 13 - 1960 the amount of $5,700.00.

WHEREAS, the City Council has previously authorized certain
expenditures beyond the budgeted amounts allocated to the various
departments of the City's General Government not previously anticipated
in the 1960 budget,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the City Council of the City
of Fridley, meeting at a Regular Session on the 20th day of December,
1960, as follows:
it That there be transferred from the Emergency Appropriation
account of the General Fund to the Municipal Park and
Recreation activity of the General Fund $2,969.00.
2. That there be W nsferred Trom the Mayor and Council
activity of the General Fund'to the Manager activity of
the General Fund $1,500.00.
3. That there be transferred from the Finance activity of
the General Fund to the Elections and Voter Registration
activity of the General Fund $2,900.00.
b. That there be transferred from the Protective Inspection
activity of the General Fund to the General Government
Buildings activity of the General Fund $2,500.00.
5. That there be transferred from the Municipal Court activity
of the General Fund to the Municipal Park and Recreation
activity of the General Fund $150.00.
