2. The plans and specifications prepared by Comstock and
Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers, for such improvements
and each of them, pursuant to the Council resolutions
heretofore adopted, a copy of which plans and specifi-
cations are hereto attached and made a part hereof, are
hereby approved and shall be filed with the City Clerk.
3. The work to be performed under SEWER AND WATER IM-
PROVFMFNT PROJECT NO. 30 -1960, shall be performed un-
der one contract.
The City Manager shall accordingly prepare and cause
to be inserted in the official newspaper advertise-
ment for bids upon the making of such improvements
under such approved plans and specifications. The ad-
vertisement shall be published for 3 weeks (at least
21 days), and shall specify the work to be done and
will state that bids will be opened and considered at
12:00 o'clock, Noon, on the 6th day of June, 1960, in
the Council chambers of the City Hall, and that no
bids will be considered unless sealed and 'filed with
the City Clerk, and accompanied by a cash deposit,
bid bond, or certified check nayable to the City for
five percent (5 %) of the amount of such bid. That
the advertisement for bids for SEWER AND WATER IM-
PROVEMFNT PROJECT NO. 30 -1960 shall be substantially in
form as that noted in Exhibit "B" attached hereto for
reference and made a part hereof.

A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR ENGINEERING STUDIES
BY THE NORTH SUBURBAN SEWERAGE COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fridley has determined
that the matter of sewage disposal is a serious problem to the
residents of this municipality; and
WHEREAS, this Council previously has decided to participate
with the councils of other municipalities in the north suburban
area in studies to determine the advisability and feasibility of
establishing a sewage disposal plant and system for the munici-
palities; and
WHEREAS, the representatives of the municipalities of Coon
Rapids, Blaine, Spring Lake Park, Moundsview, Brooklyn Park and
Fridley have adopted for identification purposes the name of
North Suburban Sewerage Committee; and
WHEREAS, the engineers for each municipality have pooled
their information, and are now prepared to collaborate in a
study to determine the cost of nreparing a complete report on
the advisability and feasibility of a mutual disposal system;
and
WHEREAS, no further progress can be made, except by the ex-
penditure of funds for engineering studies which can best be
made on a participating basis; and
WHEREAS, other municipalities will appropriate the sum of
One Thousand and no /100 ($1,000.00) Dollars each toward paying
for those engineering studies;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council for the City
of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, that there be and there
hereby is appropriated the sum of One Thousand and no /100
($1,000.00) Dollars from the funds of this municipality toward
the payment of sewerage engineering studies; and this munici-
pality hereby binds itself to make nayment of said sum upon pre -
sentation to the City of proper claims for such services ren-
dered.

APPROVING TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT U- -::TAY #65 ANT) MISSISSIPPI STREET
WHEREAS, The City of Fridley and the City of Anoka have
entered into an agreement with the Minnesota Department of High-
ways for installing traffic control signals at the intersection
of T. H. #65 and CSAH 6; and T. H. #242 and CSAH 7; and
WHEREAS, The Anoka County Board in its statement of policy
(August 1959) agree to the condition of participating 25% of the
cost in automatic traffic control signals when a county road was
involved with a trunk highway in a municipality.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the City of Fridley and the
City of Anoka be reimbursed an amount equal to 25% of the cost
of the traffic control signals at T.H. #65 and CSAH 6; and
T.H. #2Li2 and CSAH 7 upon receipt of the paid statement thereof.
