SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT MOJECT NO. 24 -1960, shall be performed
under one contract.
The City Manager shall accordingly prepare and cause to be
inserted in the official newspaper advertisements for bids
upon the making of such improvements under such approved
plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be pub-
lished for 3 weeks (at least 21 days), and shall specify
the work to be done and will state that bids will be open-
ed and considered at 12:00 o'clock, Noon, on the 5th day
of July, 1960, in the Council chambers of the City Hall,
and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and
filed with the City Clerk, and accompanied by a cash de-
posit, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City
for five percent (5 %) of the amount of such bid. That
the advertisement for bids for SANITARY SEWER. INTERCEPTOR
SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 2h -1960 shall be substan-
tially in form as that noted in Exhibit "B" attached here-
to for reference and made a part hereof.

RESOLUTION N0. 65 - 1960
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING MAIN STREET TO ANOKA COUNTY
WHEREAS, located within the City of Fridley is a street known
as Main Street which is more accurately described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of Main Street N.E. and 43rd Ave-
nue N.E., which point of intersection is on the East boundary
of the City of Fridley and on the West boundary of the City of
Columbia Heights and is approximately 1318.02 feet South of the
N.E. corner of Section 34, Township 30 N., Range 24 W., on or
near the East line of said Section 34, thence continuing north-
erly along or near the established center line of Main Street
N.E. to the intersection of Main Street N.E. and h5th Avenue
N.E. which is on or near the S.W. corner of Section 26, Town-
ship 30 N., Range 24 W., and which is also the North boundary
limits of the City of Columbia Heights at that point, thence
continuing, northerly along or near the established center line
of Main Street N.E. in the City of Fridley to an intersection
of Main Street N.E. and a service road adjacent to Trunk High-
way No. 100 right -of -way, said point of intersection being ap-
proximately 1400.32 feet North of the S.W. corner Section 23,
Township 30 N., Range 24 W., and on or near the tiniest line of
said Section 23, thence Easterly approximately 308.45 feet
along or near the established center line of the said Service
Road to a connection with Trunk Highway No. 100 and there
terminating.
and, WHEREAS, this street is a part of the City of Fridley
street system, and
WHEREAS, it has been a subject of some study as to whether or
not this should be a part of the County road system, and

WHEREAS, as a result of this study it is mutually understood
and agreed between the County of Anoka and the City of Fridley
that this street above described is more properly a part of the
County road system,
NCW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Fridley:
That the City of Fridley does hereby transfer to the County
' of Anoka the above described street and said street is hereby
made a part of the County road system, said transfer to be final
on the adoption by the Anoka County Board of County Commissioners
of a resolution accepting the above described streets.
It is further provided that, as a condition of said transfer,
the County of Anoka shall at all times before making any improve-
ments of a permanent nature in and upon said road, submit to the
City of Fridley the final plans and specifications therefor, and
receive the consent and approval thereto of the City of Fridley.

A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING WORKING CONDITIONS, WAGES AND
HOURS FOR EMPLOYEES EMPLOYED BY THE MUNICIPAL LIQUOR STORE
WHEREAS, Minneapolis Local Joint Executive Board of the Hotel
Restaurant Employees and Bartenders International Union, A.F.L. -
C.I.O., Local Unions No. 152 and 458, as bargaining representatives
of the employees of the Municipal Liquor Store of the City of Frid-
ley, has presented to the Council of the City of Fridley, a resolu-
tion relating to the working conditions, wages and hours for employ-
ees of the Municioal Liquor Stores of the City of Fridley.
NCW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that the
following rules and regulations concerning the employment of the

employees of the Fridley Municipal Liquor Stores be adopted and
placed in effect, to -wit:
ARTICLE I
SENIORITY
The employer hereby does recognize seniority rights to this
extent:
A. Employee does not establish seniority rights until he
shall have worked a total of thirty (30) days.
B. Employee layoffs and return to service shall be on the
basis of length of service except as noted in "C" below.
