Wm. 2iee made a verbal report on the general progresa of the development of eeveral practiee baeeball diamonda for which the Commieaion had agreed to spend $30p, Several diamonds have been worked into shape by aeighbor- hood labor, Afoore I,ske diamond was graded, 5ylvan Hills is in the process of filling and grading. The Board of Education agreed to iill and grade the diamond behind Haya School for City use. It was discnssed and agreed that eome further action mu.st be taken to protect the Moore Lake diamond from damage by sutomobiles. Authorization wae gicen to recommend the ez— , peaditure of some nominal svm from the Parks and Playgrounda � budget for ihe conetruction of some kind of barriers for aueh a purpose. .-. III, Wm. IV, 'Am, ffiee reported on the 3aveeti�ation made by the City Engineer eoncerning wead control in Eaat Fioore Lake, The Gom�iseion nnani�uely endorsed apending ap to $500 for auch weed control and vrges immediate action. Q, Wm, Nee reported on the poaeible reqnirement for the con— etruction of one or more archery butte in one park to fu].fill the Ciby�s part of an arrangement with the 8ubzarban Recreation Commisaion.
