BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fridley, as follows:
1. That it is in the interest of the City to rurchase the follow-
ing items or :aterials for the Department of public 4.'erks,
ONE PORTABLE ELECTRIC GENERATOR AND HA1,11ERS
2. A copy of the plans and srecifications for the above described
its--,'Is and materials, together with a proposal for the method
of purchase and the nayment thereof have been presented to
the Council by the City Manager and the same are hereby
arnrcved and adopted as the plans and specifications, and
the method of acquisition am payment to be recuired by the
City with respect to the acquisition of said items and
materials,
3, The purchase of said items and materials as described above
shall be effected by sealed bids to be received and opened by
the City Ccuncil on the 5th day of March, 1962. The City
Manager is directed and authorized to advertise for the pur-
chase cf said items and materials by sealed bid proresals
under notice as provided by lain and the Ch<.rter of the pity
of Fridley, the notice to be substantially in form as that
shown by Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part of by
reference. Said notice shall be published at least 15 days

EXHIBIT "A"
NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The City Council of the City of Fridley will accept bids on
one Portable Electric Generator and Hammers on the 5th day of
March, 1962, until 12 :00 o'clock noon on said date at the City
Hall, 6431 University Avenue N.E., Fridley 21, Minnesota ( Tel:
560 - 3450). All bids must meet the requirements of the specifi-
cations. Failure to comply with this section can result in dis-
qualification of the bid.
Each bid or bids shall be accompanied by a certified check
or bid bond ih an amount of not less than 5% of the bid or bids,
which check or bond shall be forfeited if the bidder neglects or
refuses to enter into a contract, or to furnish a 100% performance
bond after his bid has been accepted.
The City reserves the right to accept the hid or bids which are
determined to be in the best interest of the City. The City reserves
the right to reject any and all bids, and waive all informalities
or technicalities in any bid.
The City Council also reserves the right to consider such
factors as time of delivery or performance, experience and respon-
sibility of the bidder, past performance of similar types of items
or material, availability of replacement parts, and other similar
factors that it may determine in the best interest of the City.
Copies of the specifications and general condit ions may be
examined in the Office of the City Engineer, or copies may be
obtained from his office.
All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes and plainly
marked on the outside that the contents is a bid on Portable
Electric Generator and Hammers.
