RESOLUTION NO. 31 -1962
RESOLUTION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fridley, as follows:
1. That it is in the interest of the City to award bid contracts
for the following equipment or materials:
Rental of Dragline and Bucket for dredging 2,000 cubic yards (more
or less) from Moore Lake Beach
2. A copy of the specifications for the above described equipment
and materials, together with a proposal for the method of rental
and the pay ment thereof have been presented to the Council by the
City Manager and the same are hereby approved and adopted as the
plans and specifications, and the method of rental and payment to
be required by the City with respect to the rental of said equip-
ment and materials.
3. The rental of said equipment and materials as described above shall
be effected by sealed bids to be received and opened by the City of
Fridley on the 21st day of May.1962. The City Manager is directed
and authorized to advertise for the rental of said equipment and
materials by sealed bid proposals under notice as provided by law
and the Charter of the City of Fridley, the notice to be substan-
ially in form as that shown by Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made
a part of by reference. Said notice shall be published at least
twice in the official newspaper of the City of Fridley.
PASSED AID ADOPTED THIS 7TH DAY OF MAY, 1962 BY THE CITY COUNCIL.

EXHIBIT "A"
DRAGLINE AND BUCKET RENTAL
BID NOTICE
BID NOTICE - The City Council of the City of Fridley, Minn-
esota, will accept bids on Dragline and Bucket rental on the 21st
day of May, 1462, until 12:00 o'clodc noon on said date at the
City Hall, 6431 University Avenue N. -., Fridley 21, Minnesota
(Tel. 560 - 3450). All bids must meet the minimum requirements of
the specifications. Failure to comply with this section can
result in disqualification of the bid.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's
Check or Cash in an amount of not less than 5% of the bid, which
check or cash shall be forfeited if bidder neglects or refuses to
enter into a Contract, after his bid has been accented.
The City reserves the right to accept the bid which is deter-
mined to be in the bes t interests of the City and to reject
any and all bids and waive any informalities or technicalities
in any bid.
The City Council also reserves the right to consider such fac-
tors as performance, experience, responsibility of the bidder,
past performance of similar types of equipment or materials, and
other similar factors that it may determine to be in the best
interest of the City.
Copies of the specifications may be examined in the office
of the City Engineer.
All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes and plainly
marked on the outside with " Dragline and Bucket Rental."
