RESOLUTION AWARDING SALE OF X9902000 GENERAL OBLIGATION IMPROVEMENT
BONS AND X150,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION PARK BONDS.
BE IT RESOLVED, By the City Uouncil of the City of Fridley,
Minnesota, as follows:
The bid of John Nuveen and Company of Chicago, Illinois, (and
associates) to purchase 9990,000 Improvement Bonds of 1963 and n150,000
Park Bonds of 1963 is hereby found and determined to be the highest
and best ?yid received and shall be and is hereby accepted, and the Mayor
and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to endorse an
acce-tance on said bid, said bid being to purchase said issue for a
price of par rDlus a premium of e�-0- and accrued interest to date of
delivery for bonds bearing annual interest as follows:
3.20% on bonds maturing in the years 1964 through 1970, Inc.;
3.50``- on bonds maturing in the years 1.971 through 1974, Inc.;
3.70% on bonds maturing in the years 1975 through 1977, Inc.;
3.80' on bonds maturing in the ,years 1978 thr ough 1983, Inc.;
plus additional interest at the rate of 2.20 per annum on all
bonds from February 1, 1963, to July 1, 1963.

The Treasurer is directed to retain the good faith check of the purchaser
pending completion of the sale and delivery of the bonds, and the City
Manager is directed to return the checks of unsuccessful bidders forthwith.

DIRECTING THEIR EXECUTION AND DELI`,rERY AND PRO'"IDING FOR TiIE PAYI� -ENT
THEREOF.
BE IT RESOLVED, By the City Council of the City of Fridley, Minnesota,
as follows:
(1) The City of Fridley, Minnesota, shall forthwith issue its
negotiable coupon, general obligation Improvement Bonds of
1963 in the principal amount of wC90,000, said bonds to be dated January
12 1963, to be 198 in number and numbered 1 through 198, both inclusive,
in the denomination of $5,000 each, bearing interest as follows:

102% of par, plus accrued interest.
(2) Both principal of and interest on said bonds shall be payable
at the Empire Trust Co., 20 Broad St -eet, New York 5, New York,
and the City shall pay the reasonable charges of said bank for its services
as paying agent and shall furnish the printed and executed bonds and un-
qualified approving legal opinion of 14essrs. }Toward, Peterson, LeFevere,
Iefler an4 Hamilton of Minnea -olis, Minnesota, without expense to the
purchaser, w`ich opinion is hereby requested. The Clerk is hereby directed
to cause a copy of the opinion, complete except as to dating thereof,
to be printed on each bond together with a certificate executed by his
Facsimile signature, in substantially the following form: "I, the
undersigned, City Clerk of the City of Fridley, Minnesota, do hereby
certify that the above, extent for dating thereof, is a full., true and
correct copy of the legal opinion delivered to me prior to the deli -very
of this bond and on file in my office. "'
