RESOLUTION N0. 64 -1962
A RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT ON SANITARY SEWER AND
WATE3 PROJECT NO. 55,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY, MINNESOTA
as follows:
1. The Council finds that the lowest responsible bidder
for the construction of the improvement work designated
as:
Project No. 55 (Sanitary Sewer and Water) is Barbarossa
& Sons, Inc., 402 - 33rd Avenue North, St. Cloud, Minnesota;
whose bid is in the amount of $67,707.15 to be completed in
120 days. That said bid is hereby accepted, and the City
Manager and Mayor in office on date of execution of the
contract are hereby authorized and directed to enter into
a contract with said bidder for and in behalf of the City
of Fridley.

RESOLUTION N0. 65 -1962
A RESOLUTION RENAMING ALBANY STREET, 79TH AVENUE N.E., AND 79TH WAY N.E.
WHEREAS, certain street blocks from Riverview Terrace to Main
Street N.F., lying in the South one -half (S2) of Section 3, Town-
Ship 30, Range 24, of the City of Fridley, County of Anoka, Minne-
sota, are designated on the plats of record, variously, as 79th Ave-
nue, 79th Way and Albany Street, and
WHEREAS, these blocks constitute continuous street dedication
and the different street names are causing needless confusion,
AND WHEREAS, the United States Post Office Department and pro-
perty owners have requested that these street blocks be assigned a
single name throughout its length,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that
SECTION 1. Those street blocks known variously as 79th Ave -
nue N.E., 79th Way N.E. and Albany Street, lying
between Riverview Terrace and Main Street i;.E.
in the South one -half (S2) of Section 31 Town-
ship 30, Range 24, City -of Fridley, Anoka County,
Minnesota, will hereafter be named and known as
79th Way N.E.

SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to register said
change of street name with the proper authorities
for Anoka County, and notify the U.S. Post Office
of such change.

A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PRELIMINARY REPORT AND CALLING A PUBLIC
HEARING ON THE MATTER OF I14E CONSTRUCTICiv OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMEN TS:
STREET PROJECT NO. STS. 1962 -2
WHFTRFAS, the construction of certain improvements is deemed to
be in the interest of the City of Fridley and the property owners
affected thereby.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley, as
follows:
1. That the preliminary report submitted by City Engineer
Calvin G. Brown, P.E. of the City of Fridley, is hereby
received and accepted.
2. That this Council will meet on the 30th day of July, 1962,
at 8:00 o'clock P.M. at the City Hall in the City of Frid-
ley for the purpose of holding a Public Hearing on the improve-
ment noted in the notice attached hereto and made a part there-
of by reference, Exhibit "A."
3. That the area proposed to be assessed for said improvements
and each of them as noted in said notice are all the lands
and areas as noted in said notice: All of the same to be
assessed proportionately according to the benefits received.
4, That the City Manager is authorized and directed to give
notice of such Public Hearing by publishing a notice thereof
in the official newspaper of the City of Fridley according to
law, such notice to be substantially in the form and sub-
stance of the notice attached hereto as Exhibit "A."
