RESOLUTION RECEIVING FINAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS: EDGEWATER GARDENS NEIGHBORHOOD
STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. ST. 2002 - 1
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 38 - 2001 ordered the preliminary plans, specifications and
estimates of the costs thereof for the improvements in this project, and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 62 - 2001 received the preliminary engineering report and set a
public hearing for the improvements in this project, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on December 17, 2001 regarding this project, and
WHEREAS,Resolution No. 14 -2002 ordered final plans and estimates of costs for this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka
County, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the following improvements proposed by Council Resolution No. 38 - 2001 are
hereby ordered to be effected and completed as soon as reasonably possible,to-wit:
Street improvements including grading, stabilized base, hot-mix bituminous mat,
concrete curb and gutter, necessary repairs to the storm sewer, water and sanitary sewer
systems, landscaping and other facilities located on and under the following streets:
Rice Creek Way—East River Road to Ashton Avenue
Hickory Drive—Rice Creek Terrace to Mississippi Street
Ashton Avenue—Rice Creek Terrace to 651/2 Way
651/2 Way—Hickory Drive to Ashton Avenue
66th Way—Hickory Drive to Ashton Avenue
661/2 Way—Hickory Drive to Ashton Avenue
67th Way—Hickory Drive to Ashton Avenue
That the work involved in said improvements as listed above shall hereafter be designed
as:
EDGEWATER GARDENS NEIGHBORHOOD STREET IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT NO. ST. 2002 - 1
2. The plans and specifications prepared by the Public Works Department for such
improvements and each of them pursuant to the Council resolutions heretofore adopted, a
copy of which plans and specifications are hereto attached and made a part thereof, are
hereby approved and shall be filed with City Clerk.

The Director of Public Works shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted in the official
newspaper advertisements for bids upon the making of such improvements under such approved
plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for three (3) weeks (at least 21
days), and shall specify the work to be done and will state the bids will be opened and considered
in the Council Chambers of the Fridley Municipal Center and that no bids will be considered
unless sealed and filed with the Public Works Director and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid
bond, or certified check payable to the City for five percent(5%)of the amount of such bid. That
the advertisement for bids for the Edgewater Gardens Neighborhood Street Improvement Project
No. ST. 2002 - 1 shall be substantially in the standard form.
