Jack Dunphy was elected by acclamation by the membership to serve as Vice-
Chairmaa of the Parke and Recreation Commisaion for the year 1967.
Secreiary to the Commission
Mary Lou Erickson wsa appointed by the Co�ission to serve ae Secretary to
the co�tBSton.
DIRECTORS.REPORT
Parks and Recreation Memorandums for the months of December 1966 and January
1967 were discussed. Commiasion asked about Melody t9anor contract bids.
Parks Work Progress Reports for the months December 1966 and January 1967
were reviewed.
Applicatione for Park facilities were presented in final form and approved.
Commission suggested distribution of form to the Fridley Chamber of Com-
mercex Fridley Police Department aad in addition to city schools, copies bc:
made available to Nelson School in Columbia Heights also.
School-Park Facilities Study - Diatrict �14 Athletic M rector requested co�ies
^ of School-Park Facilities Study in order to help him make hia report to
Commisaion in enswer to Chairmans letter of December 21x 1966
MOTION by Cochran, seconded by Dunphy, thet School-Park Facility Study be made

Chaix�an Hughes received communication from Mr. John Wa11, Director of
Fridley Civic Chorus� Subject: SFring Concert. Chorus proposes to have
the Unity Hospital Womens Auxiliary 8poneor [heir 1967 Spring Concest
with proceeds going to the Auxili.�ry
HOTION by Dunphy, seconded by Fit2patrick, thanking Mr. Wall for his idea-
and granting permission for the Unity Hospital. Womens Auxiliary to receive,
after production and rental cosYS,. the net proceeds from the Spring Concert.
MfJfION by Cochran, seconded by Spencea to emend Mr. Dunphy's motion that the
Unfty Hospital Womens Auxili�ry to receive, after production end rental
costs, a SOV'S0 division af the net proceeds from the Spring Concert. The
Motion to amend carried. Vote on original Motian Carried.
