LETTERS
Let-ter received from Fridley tlTOmens Club - Subject: Bleachers
MOTION was made by Dunphy, seconded by Cochran,to receive the letter.
The Motion Carried.
Conunission requested Director to write a letter to the Chairman of the
Womens Club a�ld find out exactly what the Womens Club wished to have done
with the bleachers. It is the understanding of the Department and the
Commission that the bleachers in question are tlie property of the City.
1969 BUDGET
The following items of budget material were reviewed, discussed and revised:
Parks: Personal Services - Other Expenses, including Maintenance and Repair.
of Improvements - General Supplies - with revision. Capitol Outlay included
such areas as: Building and Structures - Machinery and Auto Equipment plus
Other Improvements.
n Recreation: Personal Services - Ot}ler Expenses
MOTION by Cochran, seconded by Dunphy, to adopt and approve the revised 1969
Parks and Recreation Budget as reviewed by the Parks and Recreation Commission
of $250,033.68 if Bond Issue Passes or $284,153.68 if the Bond Issue Does Not
Pass and send the adopted Bud�et to the Citv Council. The Motion Carried.
LOCKE PARK ENTRANCE
GIFT
Commission was presented by the Director, a City Engineer's proposed plan for a_
road�aay into Locke Park from 73rd Avenue. Commission expressed an extreme inter-
est in the proposed roadway into Locke Park from the east side. Commission desires
to have this plan looked into. Further ideas on signs and direction were expressed
for consideration.
The Fridley Mrs. Jaycees contributed to the Parks and Recreation Department two
pieces oi apparatus for Locke Park. � '
MOTION by Dunphy, seconded by Cochran to receive tivith thanks the gift of
apparatus from the htrs. Jaycees. The Motion Carried.
