Res 1999-111 RESOLUTION NO. 111 - 1999
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR SEWER RATE DECREASES
WHEREAS, Section 402.13 of the City code provides that the City Council shall have the authority to
set sewer rates, and
Whereas,the Metropolitan Council Environmental Services disposal charges constitute the largest
portion of the Sewer Fund's expenditures and these same fees have decreased by approximately 12
percent since 1995, and
Whereas,based on the reductions of disposal cost,the rate reduction of 12%is being passed through to
the sanitary sewer utility customers.
NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,that the following sewer rate schedule shall be effective with
the first billing in January,2000.

All consumption in excess of the minimums stated above will be charged at a rate of$2.20 per thousand
gallons.
