Res 1997-91 RESOLUTION NO. 91 - 1997
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY, MINNESOTA,
ELECTING TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ANOKA-HENNEPIN
NARCOTICS AND VIOLENT CRIMES TASK FORCE
WHEREAS, The City of Fridley is committed to be a crime-free, drug-
free city; and
WHEREAS, The City of Fridley is committed to reducing crime and other
social problems related to the sale and use of illegal drugs; and
WHEREAS, a comprehensive plan to accomplish the goal of reduction of
crime and drug related problems should include inter-city cooperation
with surrounding communities; and
WHEREAS, The Anoka-Hennepin Narcotics and Violent Crimes Task Force
has a proven record of impact against drug related crime; and
WHEREAS, The City of Fridley wishes to be eligible for monetary
reimbursement from the Edward Byrne Grant; and
WHEREAS, a resolution and joint powers agreement is necessary to join
the Anoka-Hennepin Narcotics and Violent Crimes Task Force.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Fridley hereby elects to participate in the Anoka-Hennepin Narcotics
and Violent Crimes Task Force.
