Res 1997-26 oOOZ5 RESOLUTION NO. 26 - 1997 RESOLUTION APPROVING A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT, CPA #97-01, TO CHANGE LAND USE DESIGNATION FROM COMMERCIAL TO INDUSTRIAL IN THE CITY'S COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, GENERALLY LOCATED AT 1155 - 73 AVENUE N.E. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on the Comprehensive Plan Amendment, CPA #97-01, on March 5, 1997 and recommended approval; and WHEREAS, the City Council also conducted a public review of the Comprehensive Plan Amendment at their March 31, 1997 City Council meeting and approved the amendment at their March 31, 1997 meeting; and WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Land Planning Act (Minn. Stat. 473.851 - 473.872) requires that local government units prepare and submit minor amendments to their Comprehensive Plan to the Metropolitan Council; and WHEREAS, a minor amendment is defined as changes to the future land use plan where the affected area is small or where the proposed future land use will result in minor changes in metropolitan urban service demand: changes in the urban service area involving less than 40 acres; change to plan goals and policies that do not change the overall thrust of the Comprehensive Plan; and WHEREAS, the City has determined this to be a minor amendment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE, IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Fridley hereby approves the Comprehensive Plan Amendment, CPA #97-01 .
