ment of the amount of all such unpaid assessments and the amount
which will be due thereon on the 1st day of January in each

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was
duly seconded by Councilman Wolkel and upon vote being taken thereon
the following voted in favor thereof: Unanimous
and the following voted against: None
WHEREUPON SAID RESOLUTION WAS DECLARED DULY PASSED AND

EXTRACT 07 MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF REGULAR MEETING
HELD OCTOBER 7TH, 1963, AT 8:00 O'CLOCK P.M. AT THE CITY HALL,
CITY 07 FRIDLEY, MINNESOTA
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Fridley, Minnesota, was duly held at
the City Tall in said City on Monday, the 7th day of October, 1063,
at 8:00 o'clock P.M.
The following members were present: Mayor Nee, Councilmen
Sheridan, Wake, Johanson and Brook
and the following were absent: None
The Clerk announced that the proposed assessment for
SANITARY SEWER & WATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 55
had been filed in his office on the 16th day of September, 1963, and
that notice of a hearing on said assessment to be held at the regular
meeting of the Council on the 7th day of October, 1963, had been given
in the form and manner as provided by law. The Clerk presented an affi-
davit showing publication of such notice in the official newspaper,
which affidavit was examined and found satisfactory and ordered placed
on file.
The Mayor announced that the meeting was open for consideration
of objections to the assesment heretofore filed with the City Clerk for
SANITARY SEWER & WATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 55
The Clerk reported that written objections had been filed by the
following persons affecting the following described lots, pieces or
parcels of land, to-wit:
WI, Gardner W. 25' of lot 4 Fr all of Delay assessment until lot
Lot 6, Block 1 , Spring split in Spring Valley
Valley Addition. Addition is granted
The following persons were then heard and presented their
object!Ons to said assessment:

After due consideration of all said objections, Councilman
Johanson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:

RESOLUTION CONFIRMING ASSESSMENT FOR SANITARY SEWER & WATER IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT NO. 55 - 66TH AVENUE CENTRAL TO ARTHUR: ARTHUR ST. , RICE
CREEK RD. TO MISSISSIPPI: 2 ST., 57i, TO 58TH STREET: GARDENA LANE,
WOODY LANE & CENTRAL AVENUE, AND TAYLOR STREET.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fridley,
Minnesota, as forows:
• The City Clerk has with the assistance of the Engineers heretofore
selected by this Council for such purpose, calculated the proper
amounts to be specially assessed for the
SANITARY SEWER & WATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 55
in said City against every assessible lot, piece or parcel of
land in accordance with the providions of law, and has prepared
and filed with the City Clerk tabulated statements in duplicate
showing the proper description of each and every lot, piece or
parcel of land to be specially assessed and the amount calculated
against the same.

2. Notice has been duly published as required by law that this Council
would meet in regular session at this time and place to pass on
the proposed assessment.
3. Said proposed assessment has at all times since its filing been
open to inspection and copying by all persons interested, and an
opportunity has been given to all interested persons to present
their objections, if any, to such proposed assessment, or to any
item thereof, and no objections have been filed; except: None
4. The amounts specified in the proposed assessment are changed and
altered as follows: None
5. This 'ouncil finds that each of the lots, pieces or parcels of
land ennumerated in said proposed assessment as altered and modi-
fied was and is specially benefited by the
SANITARY SEWER & WATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 55
66th Ave. - Central Ave. to Arthur, Arthur St. -
Rice Creek Rd. to Mississippi, 2 St. - 57f17 to 58th
St., Gardena Lane, Woody Lane & Central Ave., and
Taylor Street.
in the amount in said proposed assessment as altered and modi-
fied by the corrective roll in the amount set opposite the
description of each such lot, piece or parcel of land, and that
said amount so set out is hereby levied against each of the
respective lots, pieces or parcels of lard therein described.
6. Such proposed assessment as altered, modified and corrected is
affirmed, adopted and con firmed, and the sums fixed and named
in said proposed assessment as altered, modified and corrected,
with the changes and alterations herein above made, are affirmed,
III adopted and confirmed as the proper special assessment for each
of said lots, pieces or parcels of land respectively.
7. Said assessment so affirred, adopted and confirmed shall be certi-
fied to by the City Clerk and filed in his office and shall there-
upon be and constitute the special assessment for
SANITARY SEWER & WATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 55
8. The amounts assessed against each lot, piece or parcel of land
shall bear interest from the date hereof until the same have
been paid at the rate of six per cent (6%) per annum.
9. Such assessment shall be payable in one or twenty equal installments
payable on the 1st day of January in each year, beginning in the
year 1964, and continuing until all of said installments shall
have been paid, each installment to be collected with taxes collect-
ible during said year by the County Auditor.

A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PRELIMINARY REPORT AND CALLING A PUBLIC
HEOING ON THE MATTER OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS:
CONMETE CURB AND GUTTER - CSAH #35 ( ST. 1963-2 )
WHEREAS, the Construction of certain improvements is deemed to
be in the interest of the City of Fridley and the property owners
affected thereby.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley, as
follows:
1. That the preliminary report submitted by the Anoka County Engin-
eer is hereby received and accepted.
2. That this Council will meet on the 18th day of November, 1963,
at 8:00 o'clock P.M., at the City Hall in the City of Fridley
for the purpose of holding a Public Hearing on the improvement
noted in the Notice attached hereto and made a part thereof by
reference, Exhibit "A". ,

3. That the area proposed to be assessed for said improvements
and each of then as noted in said notice are all the lands and
areas as noted in said notice: All of the same to be assessed
proportionately according to the benefits received.
A. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to give notice
of such Public Hearing by publishing a notice thereof in the
official newspaper of the City of Fridley according to law, such
notice to be substantially in the form and substance of this
notice attached hereto as Exhibit "A".
