RESOLUTION NO. 159-196'
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION OF FINAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
FOR EXPANSION OF FIRE STATION.
WHEREAS, a memorandum prepared by S.C. Smiley and Associates, dated
October 11, 1963, for the Fridley 2iremen's Volunteer Relief Association
was presented to the City Council by Mr. Smiley and by Fire Chief Highes,
and,
WHEREAS, S.C. Smiley proposed that if the City of Fridley would super-
' Illvise the work that his fee would be set at four and one-half (40) per
cent,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FRIDLEY, MINNESOTA:
1. That the project for the expansion of the Fire Station be
approved.
2. That the City Attorney be authorized and directed to work out
a suitable plan of financing with the Attorney for the Relief Association.
3. That S.C. Smiley and Associates be authorized and directed to
prepare the necessary final plans and specifications.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Fridley this 21st day of
October, 1963.

A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE ISSUANCE OF TEMPORARY IMPROVEMENT BONDS IN
ACCORDANCE WITH LAWS OF 1957, CHAPTER 385.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County,
Minnesota, as follows:
SEC. 1. The total estimated cost of smilamssnaaLlgo_lklifmillmmummt
Project No. has been estimated at 1222222.22.
SEC. 2. It is now estimated that the sum of $25,000.00 is currently
necessary to provide financing of the projects above noted, and it is
hereby determined to be necessary to borrow said amount for the payment
of obligations now incurred and for expenses necessarily incurred in
connection with the construction of said improvement projects.
SEC.....2. There is hereby created Sanitary Sewer and Water Improvement
#63 Fund (temoram) which .shall contain a construction account apart,
thereof into which shall be paid all proceeds of temporary bonds, issued,
pursuant to this resolution and similar subsequent resolutions, and out
of wirtich shall be paid all amounts due and payable as costs or expenses
incident to or incurred in connection with the making of said improvement.

be paid the proceeds of all special assessments levied against benefited
property by reason of the making of said improvements as well as all
other monies therein to he paid as provided by law and out of which shall
be paid the principal and interest on all temporary improvement bonds
issued to finance said project.
