HRA RES 1995-15 24 HRA RESOLUTION NO. 15 - 1995 A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE TEMPORARY ACQUISITION AND SALE OF REAL PROPERTY WHEREAS, Anoka County is the owner of a vacant parcel of land legally described as Lot 4, Block 1, Scherer Addition, Anoka County, Minnesota (the "Property") ; and WHEREAS, Anoka County has declared the Property as excess and not usable for County purposes; and WHEREAS, Anoka County has been contacted by Roberta L. Moore, 6755 East River Rd. , Fridley, Minnesota (the "Buyer") regarding possible purchase of the Property for private use; and WHEREAS, Anoka County is prohibited from selling the Property directly to the Buyer; and WHEREAS, Anoka County has contacted the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of Fridley, Minnesota (the "Authority") about facilitating a transaction with the Buyer; and WHEREAS, the Authority has determined that the Property is not suitable for construction of a new and further the Authority believes it would be in the best interest of the City to return the Property to the tax rolls. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of Fridley, Minnesota as follows: 1. The Chair and Executive Director are authorized to execute documents for the purchase of the Property from Anoka County for the sum of $6,800. 2. The Chair and Executive Director are authorized to execute a purchase agreement with Roberta L. Moore for the sale of the Property for $6,800, plus closing costs, legal expenses and other transaction costs incurred by the Authority.
