HRA RES 1995-21 36 HRA RESOLUTION NO. 21 - 1995 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF REAL PROPERTY WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of Fridley (the "Authority") has established the Scattered Site Acquisition Program (the "Program") to acquire and demolish substandard residential properties for the purposes of removing blight and improving neighborhoods; and WHEREAS, the Authority has acquired several residential sites (the "Properties") which are ready for redevelopment; and WHEREAS, the Authority has established guidelines for selling the Properties and has requested bids from private parties to redevelop the Properties; and WHEREAS, the Authority has conducted a public hearing as required by Minnesota Statutes prior to awarding the sale of the Properties. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of Fridley, Minnesota as follows: 1. Sale of the properties shall be made to the highest and most responsible bidders, as follows: Address High Bidder Amount ff 5720 Polk Street Whitney Homes $20,000 623 Lafayette Street Tams, Inc. $18,500 533 Janesville Street Diane Schommer $19,500 5973 - 3rd Street Tams, Inc. $ 6,000 5924 - 2nd Street Tams, Inc. $12,000 2. Each successful bidder must execute a Sale and Development Agreement with the Authority by no later than December 24, 1995 or within 45 days of the bid award, or shall forfeit all earnest money and any interests in and to the Properties. 3. The bids received for 5981 - 3rd Street NE shall be rejected and new offers will be accepted until December 1, 1995.
