1 ri Dear Sirs
Clerk.
P , ot 6 93,
Would you please send to me immediately the names of each of the precincts
,., in your City and the addresses of such precincts.
bI I need this for the Hospital District election, This election is exclusively
I a hospital District election and the expenses of such election must be paid
1
(j by the District. This letter is to request that you arrange the polling
place, and the facilities for that day, "October 10, 1961".
We will order the Ballots. We would further like to obtain the other election
17171) supplies which you can charge back to the Yospital District. (Tally Sheets, etc.)
rIf your City '-las a registration system for voters, then we would like the
following proceedure to be followed:
There should be an extra Ballot Box provided for voters who desire to vote,
but have not registered in advance of the voting. The reason forthis i.e that
the law is unclear as to whether a voter must register in order to vote in a
Hospital District election. Therefore, we would like the votes counted
separately from the registered votes cast.
I believe this proceedure would apply only to the Cities of Columbia Heights,
Coon Rapids and Fridley.
I am enclosing a self addressed stamped envelope for your convenience, to 'be
used to send me a list of the polling places and addresses. If you haven't
already sent me the names of the election *Judges, you may do so at the
same time.
